great location to explore the area. Hotel is located in the middle of Appenzell. Very friendly stuff. Smokers bar. Exceptional wine card in the restaurant

I visited the restaurant for dinner two days ago. It was a rainy day and it is Sunday so choices are limited. I was lucky to have chosen this place because the food was really good. The venison tastes fabulous. It is tender, juicy and full of flavor. The only downside is the existence of flies. They were quite disturbing.
