Rating is for the restaurant only. Classic Swiss food but service is understaffed.
I liked the very friendly staff that has been helpful but without exaggeration, the excellent dinner we enjoyed, as well as the super breakfast. The room was basic, but with good bedding and all what is needed. The spa is a real plus, to relax after the long hike. Certainly a place I would recommend and return to.
Amazing view, rooms were ok but our sink didn't work, other than that pretty good hotel
Beds are very inconvenient. Lamellas and mattresses are very soft so it's possible to feel comfortable during the night only if you don't have any problems with a spine. We planned to stay for one week, but couldn't sleep and left the hotel after only one night. However we had to pay 50% for the whole week.
Well worth the trip. Cog train to the top. Absolutely Fantastic views!!! Close to Lucerne. Wonderful area.
We arrived late during a snow storm. It was definitely difficult to find. The cable car wasn't running but we caught the last cogwheel train at 10:15. It was worth the trip up. The hotel has amazing views, beautiful baths and top notch service.
The people were very rude. I came with an EF Tour group and I understand that we had a lot of people (which can be frustrating), but we weren't even treated like we were paying customers. A friend of mine had their feet on a small coffee table and an employee came up and told her to "get her feet off his table." I understand that putting your feet on furniture can be rude, but this man approached the situation in a completely rude manner. There were also ridiculous rules such as "no swimming unless your entire group attends." What sense does this make??? In a group of 30 people it's pretty ridiculous to actually expect every single person to be interested in going to the pool. Also, everything in the area closed very early and there was no place to buy any food after 7pm.
