Hotel en het restaurant netjes en je kunt lekker eten. Wel geluidsoverlast zowel van buiten en binnen.

Sauberes, schönes, ruhiges Zimmer und preislich auch OK. Kann ich weiter empfehlen.

After an unnerving crossing of the Grimsel Pass by motorbike during a random July snowstorm I was ready to sleep under a bridge. I found Hotel La Val via the Bookingdotcom app and it was well rated, so I programmed the GPS and pointed the bike in towards the hotel.
Hotel La Val was so homey and the owner so inviting and warm that I didn't bother to see the room beforehand, I just checked in. He was kind enough to lock my bike in his personal garage so it would be secure for the night.
The hotel felt like being a guest in someone's home, with comfortable beds and old-world Swiss style everywhere. There was a shower and sink in the room and, like many home-to-hotel conversions, a loo in the corridor. Everything was spotlessly clean (the Swiss way, the owner assured me). The bed was comfortable and the room had a balcony with a stunning view of the valley.
The next morning I was treated (by the hotelier's wife) to a full Swiss breakfast before embarking on a long journey to Salzburg.
A wonderful experience all round and highly recommended.response / report this review
