Since Novotel Expo gave me a good stay experiences two nights in 2015, I decided to stay five night this time. Still, the service and breakfast serves me a good experience. However, at the last night after 21:00, my wife found there is a big spider, 6 cm long, that stayed on the corner of the upper wall. It freaks her out all night and she could not sleep well. At final, I killed the spider by myself because we need to check out next day. I have told this issue to the reception staff when I checked out, she just said sorry about what happened and will ask house keeping to take care. *AI*. I hope hotel manager should be responsible for a clean room for tourist, however, I am totally not satisfied with this exception.

You feel someone realy cares you'll have a good staying. It starts from the early check-in, the notification you get that your room is ready and they are waiting for you - all that before you even got there. Then the facility is very nice, you get all you need, much more than what I expected for the price we paid. We came as family - 2 adults and 2 young kids. Highly recommended is you have simple needs! (Ment in a good way)

It was one of the worst hotels I've ever try !
I arrived at 10 pm and nobody help me with the baggage, I was so hungry and I try to order from the restaurant and the room service they told me that the kitchen close at 10 pm and there is only pork is available!! And I don't eat pork !!
The room was dirty and there's a lot of spiders in the wall I call the reception to clean and they told me there is no house keeping is available at 11 pm !! They told me to change the room at this late time and how I can arrange my baggage after I spend the whole day outside !!
The service of the hotel is below 2 stars I don't know how they rate it 4 stars !!
It is the first and last time here . I will not recommend this hotel to all my friends and family !

The hotel is nice in general but i was disappointed with the reception. The parking was insanely expensive with a whole 20 swiss franc per day. I was actually advised by my friend to book this hotel because he mentioned of a kind reception offering a free parking in january. Yet, i understand that it is not a must that i am received such offer. However, the staff interrupted me when i was talking and asked me to let her explain first. moreover, she was especially rude, ARROGANT and unhelpful when i asked her if there were other parking around. Honestly, this was not what i expected in a worldwide famous hotel group and i will bear this in mind when i come across booking novotel and share my experience to my friends and relatives to discourage them from encountering similar bad experiences as i. this hotel group is indeed famous but infamous for its kind reception.

A good standard Novotel: clean and efficient (as long as you dont have issues with the reservation - in this case better ask the general manager directly, otherwise it will take you ages).
Well located 5 min from the stadium/expo. Ideal!
Car park is however far too small (if you arrive during an event, expect not to be able to park)response / report this review -

Very nice hotel, perfect location (on a tram stop, few stops away from city centre - hotel provided us with one day pass for public transport for free). Family oriented (I had 2 kids w me). Minus was waiting time for elevators (one more - just for staff would be beneficial as I met cleaning ladies several times with big carts occupying elevators for guests). Also, there is a reconstruction going on now so there are some limitations in lobby. Last thing (detail) the light in bathroom was broken - hanging on wires..

Very good hotel, confortable room and reasonable service and prices. The location is excellent for visiting the city. It is near enough from the city historic center and you can also take the tram with free tickets the hotel provides. The paid parking is not spacious and is unprotected. Breakfast is OK.

The hotel is very close to the Bern Expo it is a 10 minute tram ride to downtown. Great location! The rooms are clean, comfortable and a good size. One downside - the bar/restaurant in the hotel is closed on the weekends.

the rooms were very nice including bath. The Reception area shelled a bit strange but it was okay. The breakfast was Very very nice. There was a big buffet with many fresh food and drinks. Really enjoyed that. About lunch and dinner I can't say something, as I didn't tried it.
Overall it's a really nice Hotel near to the downtown. A Trail Station is avaliable just across the street.response / report this review
