Holmes Place Jelmoli is a fitness lover's dream-- an oasis of motivation and focus in the heart of bustling Zurich. Because of the prime location, excellent range of equipment and layout, and wide offering of classes, working out becomes something to anticipate and enjoy. The trainers' expertise and care is a highlight.

I like the cool vibe in Holmes Place, and the fact that it`s located in Europe's coolest cities is even COOLER. There is always something fun going in there, such as rooftop events, new trendy fitness classes with top instructors.. well you name it I even got the chance to see the amazing bicycle racer Fabian Cancellara there. If your looking for a trendy fitness center than I highly recommend Holmes Place Jelmoli in Zürich City.

Located in the heart of Zurich, Holmes Place Jelmoli has a wonderful ambience and amazing facilities. Are you planning to do martial arts, functional training, physio based session, gain lean muscle mass or just accomplish a marathon or triathlon race? The professional and friendly Personal Trainer Team is happy to help in achieving your sport specific goals. There is genuine concern to making the gym more client/member-centric. Highly recommended!

Holmes Place in Jelmoli is the most beautiful gym directly in the city center of Zurich. It offers a huge fitness area, Personal Trainer hours in different languages, classes (taught in english!) and a SPA area with saunas and jacuzzi, Its the the place to be for everyone who likes variety in their fitness program!

Just arrived in Zurich, and I foundt the best place to train! The location is amazing, in the middle of the city and the gym floor is on the terrace where the deck can be opened too. The staff is really friendly, and it's really clean!
For sure is not "cheap" but for something like this in the middle of the city couldn't be different!

Great fitness studio, great classes, nice view and very friendly staff. There is always place and you don't have to sign up for a group class in front, which is great. Definitley worth it to check it out!

Be very careful before signing a contract, especially if you speak another language. The staff gives out false information and lies to their advantage. I spoke to 2 consultants personally (not gonna mention their names) and i asked them how is it, when i need to quit. They told me very clearly, that i can quit anytime i want with a 3 month notice, written in post. As it turns out, actually you cant quit, you are bound for 1 whole year. If they had told me that, i would have never joined this gym. Staff acts very friendly, telling you "Ohh take my email, my number, contact me anytime, any questions i'm here for you, yes you can quit.." And when you really ask them about an important fact, they lie to your face and later blame you for misunderstanding your contract. Very clever. Treating people as a joke basically. Very unhappy and would never recommend this place to anyone.

Great Classes and nice staff. Worlds worst effort at a spa, most facilities don't work, raised voices kill tranquility, introduced high prices for dressing gown rental. Showers poorly maintained and a bit dirty.

Staff is super unfriendly and arrogant. totally overpriced compared to other studios with much better quality and service. terms in the contract are not being accomplished from their site.

This is the worst gym ever! I really regret my member ship. It was nice when I got shown around, before I signed the contract, the staff seemed nice and everything looked great. But after my first "free" training I saw the truth. Unfortunately I signed for a two year membership, which by the way, you can't get rid off unless you leave the country, and you have to let them know three month in advance that you want to cancel it for good, or else it runs for another year(the audacity!!!!). The staff is incredibly negligent and rude (as specially the ones at the reception) except for the cleaning ladies. The equipments and my trainer are the only reason to actually have that membership, also they offer free towels, which is awesome. Everything else is horrible seriously I regret every single penny I've waisted in there. And it's a shame cause it has a lot of potential.

They want to be exclusive and posh, BUT:

-Theres always anything broken, either the jacuzzi or steambath in the spa-area, the doors of the showercabins, the steam-generators or the tailes on the floor are missing. Saunas are falling apart (spare and loose wood-racks)

-The cleaning team improved a lot, but still not tidy enough

-Members are allowed to open windows in the trainingroom, so its constantly windy and you have to be careful, that u dont get sick

-They did a facelifting, but only on the surface and they hired the cheapest company for that, quality, very low - after some days, the first doors of showercabins were already broken

-There is only one row of free weight, looong waiting times

Top if the top: The manager, Veronica Leidescher herself, is working out and blocking machines during peak-hours

All in all: Nice view, nice terrace, good cardio-park, kind personal trainers, but def. not worth 1900.- / year !!
