Fabulous location right at Bort lift on the First run. Can drive to in summer. No room balconies but large restaurant deck makes up for it. And the view!!

We came down the mountain cart from first and had to stop here. Great views of the pastures and glacier from this location. Stop here for some food / beer with in my opinion has the best views of the area in general. Clicked quite a number of pics here before we headed down to Grindelwald with our trotti bikes

Great place for a stop on the way back to Grindelwald either after hiking or ski. During summer the restaurant offers a great view and the playground is really nice for kids.

Nice place with an amazing view of the mountain. The place feels cozy and only minus point was that reaching the place with luggage was difficult. Also that the last gondola goes at 5pm which means you're stuck up there for the rest of the day.

It was great experience staying in this wonderful place. Room is clean and staffs are all very very kind. Food was great and you will see all constellation at night.

I've only had a drink, didn't stay here.
Friendly personnel.
Great views! You can see a gletscher and several peaks.
A huge and nice playground is very close.
And it's, of course, next to the cable station.

The location is second to none, and the dining is excellent. Although quite pricey (I spent ~$800/night), the rooms all have views of the Eiger and the rest of the Swiss Alps beyond Grindelwald. If you opt to have meals here, expect superb quality. The plating was well done, and the flavors are delectable.

My one and only complaint is the presence of flies. I understand it's natural, but there were no electric bug collectors/zappers on the patio, and if you left windows open then one or two might interrupt a peaceful rest.

Great place. Stunning views, very close to the cable car. Fantastic food and breakfast. Casual, friendly, and very accommodating staff make you feel you are among friends.
