The hotel is really nice and personnel is nice and helpful. However this is not my idea of a 5 stars hotel, I would expect a higher service level (for example, changing the sheets more often. I was there for 2 weeks and they only seemed changed once). Nevertheles place is pretty clean and tidy. Prices in the restaurant are ok and food is pretty good. The breakfast seemed a bit expensive though, 35 chf, but there is a big range of food that you can choose from - warm cooked food, meats, fruits, pastries, cheese etc; also you can order eggs of any kind

Traditional five star hotel at best place possible. Located in the center of Neuchatel, directly at the lake with a remarkable view on the lake and the alps behind. Rooms are excellent and in a classic style. Apples provided for free on each level. However hardly German TV stations available, and these also hidden on position 50+. Majority is French speaking instead. For a hotel of this rating with many international guests I would have expected this better.
