I didn't stay here, so I cannot comment on the room, however the customer service is not good. I called and made a reservation with the owner, but cancelled apx 30min later, which was still before the 48hr cancellation limit. His understanding of English is troublesome which I suspect has added to my problem. I was called at midnight on the night of which was supposed to be the first night of my original booking to be asked where I was. I explained that I had cancelled the booking. I was informed that, not only had I not cancelled, but that I would be charged for one night. I disagreed and repeated that I had called minutes after I had made the original booking. The owner immediately started yelling at me and calling me a liar and that I would need to have proof. Well, luckily I have proof because I just requested my phone records. It's seems pretty shady to me, considering he called me by name when I phoned back to cancel and he told me "No problem!" But as he has my credit card number, I feel he tried to fraudulently charge me, hoping I wouldn't go after it. This is unacceptable and I wouldn't recommend staying here even if the price is good and the rooms are clean.

We stayed at West-view overnight while driving back to the U.S. from Alaska. The cottage was so delightful, fresh and clean. Mr. Daniel (management) and family were so friendly and made sure we knew what to see in their town before getting back on the highway. If in that area again I will definitely stay there.

My husband and I stay at the West View every time we pass through Vegreville. The rooms are always impeccable, the manager at the desk will do anything to make your stay pleasant (last night, he asked if our room had cooled down enough. Knowing we were checking in to Room 20, he had the air conditionner going for us before we arrived). No request is a problem. As we arrived last night, one of the family members was sweeping the sidewalks in front of the cabins and rooms, so the family who owns it is very proud of their business. It is a simple motel,(no breakfasts, but as much coffee in the room as you ask for) but a very quiet and clean one. We highly recommend the West View.
