Hands down the best veterinary hospital we have ever been with. Dr. Kaylan Elock is unbelievable, she truly cares about helping you and your pet. We've moved across the city and we still make the trip across town because we know we wont find a better clinic than West Springs. Thanks for everything you guys do!

Everyone is really nice here and Dr. Elock is the absolute best. She's very nice and helpful and super sweet to my cat.
Definitely wouldn't go anywhere else.

I absolutely love West Springs Veterinary Hospital. Everything single person who works at this practice genuinely cares. I can call anytime and they always make the time to see my Niko. The level or care and compassion they have is like no other. Highly recommend West Springs! Thank you everyone!!

I'm not sure how to explain how much I love Dr. Elock and the West Springs Veterinary Hospital. The rooms at the clinic are large and comfortable for you and your animals. I have 2 large dogs so it really helps that I can fit both in the rooms with ease and comfort. As for the doctor, you won't find a more caring and knowledgeable one anywhere. I followed Dr. Elock from her last clinic because I would never find the extent of care and compassion she gives at any other clinic. She is the best and my animals love her. All the staff are friendly and the service there is excellent. I do not live close but it's worth the drive!

I was so sad to hear Dr Oprikov is no longer at West Hills. Do we know where he went to? He was the most honest, reliable and friendly vet I have ever met. His prices were reasonable and he always provided options for treatment when possible. He never pushed expensive treatments that weren't necessary. I know in my neighbourhood there are several people who were loyal customers. I hope he opens up another business near by.

The people are all so friendly and the Veterinsrian is great with our cats. Very reasonably priced and he doesn't push you into any unnecessary tests or meditation. I highly recommend!

We are very excited to announce that West Springs Veterinary Hospital and Dr. Kaylan Elock have become part of the Springbank Pet Resort & Hospital family. Joining Kaylan are Drs. Morgan Primrose and Jeni Liggett, Animal Health Technologist, Alyssa, Client Care Specialists Lori & Madi and Practice Administrator, Terrie Ann Meikle. Please come for a visit and meet the team. Dr. Oprikov has been our rat terrier Midge's one and only vet for the last nine years, since she was a puppy. We have taken great comfort in the fact that Dr. Oprikov, his amazing wife and his terrific staff have cared for Midge like their own. Midge loves everyone there and this is the only place where she has never made a fuss about getting her nails trimmed. We felt the need to post this review after a couple of negative reviews on this page. Dr. Oprikov's communication style is clear and direct, that is a quality we have appreciated over the years. In fact, even after moving we have travelled the additional distance to have Midge see him. He is a skilled veterinarian who clearly explains things, answers questions and is thorough. Never once in the last decade have we had any doubt that Dr. Oprikov has had Midge's well being as his top priority.

Overpriced medication. The prices are double what other vets in the area are charging. Dr. Oprikov was quite rude and condescending when I spoke to him about the price differences.

My dogs ear was hurting so we took to this vet. The problem was that the hair in her ear was building up because she is a non shedding dog. We ended up paying 200$ for them to just clean out her ear. This vet is REALLY expensive, do me a favor and DONT go there.

Dr Oprikov was recommended to me by a neighbor..I live in NW, but I was searching for a sincere carrying doctor, dont we all? I left a message at 9 pm Wednesday, I was very concerned about my love ones health..got a respond soon after same night ,amazingly..and although they were fully booked Dr Oprikov took me next morning..gave my little one full attention ..didnt compromise neither with time nor care..figured out exactly what was wrong with her fixed it and gave me all the necessary information to avoid endless visits to the vet..I call this pure love and care for animals ..unlike most other doctors ..I highly recommend dr Oprikov..he is worth the distance ..if you are looking for a qualified doctor who truly cares ..he may be one of the best ones out there!
