Our go to sushi joint when going to the movies. Great speciality rolls.

Being that it was Remembrance day, November 11th, 2017; many restaurants around the area were busy. My girlfriend and I wanted to go to Old Spaghetti factory, but it was an hour wait, so we came here.
We arrived at 6:00pm and got settled in. The server/waitress sat us down at four seater table, then kicked us off the table because a group of four people came in; which was understandable. My girlfriend and I began conversing in a conversation and noticed we haven't been served in over 20 mins. The odd thing was that the group of 4 people got served before us, even though we were here first. We tried to understand that it was busy, but at least keep be organized.
The same server that sat us down served them first and took their order, then the server turned around and said "I'll take your order next." My girlfriend and I just looked at each other in confusion. As the waiter took our order, we had to wait another twenty mins. twenty mins waiting to be served and another twenty mins to get our food, I mean I understand that it can get busy, but please do better with your service. The group next to us which ordered at the same time, they got their order within ten mins, and they ordered over seven things, when my girlfriend and I ordered three things. At this point we were disgusted, we waited over forty mins to be served and to get our food. Another thing that made it much un-enjoyable was that we asked for the bill, the server told us to go get it at the front, but the server was really nice to the other group and gave them their bill. Either their was some racial thing going on or someone wanted a big tip.
This is the reason I am giving a bad review, call it what you want, this is MY experience.
Another thing, the plating of the food was sloppy. I ordered a sushi roll, one was plated nicely, the other was sloppy. Picturing is showing how the sushi should of been plated (Left) the other one was sloppy plating (Right).

Ordered the baked salmon roll which is supposed to be a roll with avocado, cucumber, crab meat, topped with salmon and baked mozzarella on top.
Well the mozzarella on top turned out to be parmesan cheese and when I asked the waitress she said that it was mozzarella cheese. I told her there was no way and she left and another lady came over and said that there was mozzarella cheese underneath which there wasn't.
I told her I would never have ordered the roll if I knew it had parmesan cheese on it as there is no way it belongs on sushi.
Afterwards the chef kept giving me the death glare as if I had done something wrong.
Lots of better sushi places out there these days, will not and don't recommend this sushi restaurant to anyone if they try something so blatant as my experience.response / report this review -

Second time coming here the first time I got Tekka don (raw tuna on rice) - was amazing. This time I got the Chirashi don (mixed raw seafood on rice). The seafood, presentation and rice were amazing. This place has exceptionally fresh raw seafood, good portion size and the service is amazing. Highly recommend you visit this place, it's a great find!

Awesome sushi! Great staff! Great prices! My wife and I come here all the time. The restaurant changes their menu occasionally, so you're never bored! They have really creative and unique sushi rolls, as well as the usual typical rolls. I would highly recommend this place.

Tuna nigiri was served slightly frozen. Salmon was good but small portions. Rolls have a nice presentation, but very little potion of fish. Service was quite slow despite being empty. Fairly overpriced considering potion size and location.

Sigh, I hate to write this but when we went here after a movie with our kids the service was not great. We were seated quickly and the order taken but after the food delivered no one ever came back to ask how things were or top anything up or take anything away. Plus there was totally inappropriate japanese music videos playing on the TV. My kids were there (all under 10 yrs old) and they were the ones who told me that what was on the TV was bad. Not going to return. Hopefully someone at the restaurant reads this and tightens up the way things work there. This is the digital age and customer experience reviews DO affect your bottomline.

Ate here once and it was okay , got take out the second time and it was overpriced , tuna looked old and did not taste good. Pretty sad as i was looking forward to some good sushi and that is not what i received.
Ordered two spicy tuns rolls and one yam tempura roll,
received two spicy tuna rolls and yam tempura, did not complain until i tasted it, wow.

Very poor service, when I entered I was not greeted or seated I had to ask for a seat. Then I was left sitting there for 5 minutes hoping to get a glass of water atleast ! I then walked out because service is important to me. This my honest review
