This resort appears to be in the midst of a rebirth which is awesome. Gorgeous setting with limitless potential. Food was easily 4-star and best surprise. Aesthetic upgrades will make this place much better in years to come. It's a good value.

Booked 6 weeks in advance and made dinner reservations at the same time. When we showed up they didn't have any record of our dinner reservation and we had no choice but to take the 5 o clock sitting. Rooms are out of date and not too clean. This place has great views on the lake.

Lots of great activities to do and such a gorgeous area. At first wasn't impressed with the room, but staff are super friendly and helpful, so we upgraded. Breakfast buffet is delicious!

Our third year there and Viamede does not disappoint. A comfortable place to stay with great views, super friendly staff, cottages right on the lake with full use of kayaks and canoes. Ben makes you feel like family and family memories are made at Viamede.

Dinner at the Boathouse on Saturday was a very pleasant experience. The scenery, decor and staff were, as always, excellent. But the food was absolutely superb! The fare was fresh, super flavorful and promptly presented. I had the smoked brisket sandwich and it was a treat. Smoky flavor was ever present but not overbearing, tasty cheese and whatever other magic was in therewow. You need to eat here!

My negative review was somehow removed after 3 years and I'm here to reinstate it. Must be a new way for google to profit? Apparently you can't trust google reviews anymore.

My ratings still stand. As a cottage owner and boater on Stoney lake this place used to be big part of the community for generations and was a great day to day destination. Since new ownership this connection has been terminated and is mostly for people coming in from out of town. Very sad what has happened over the last 5 years or so to this once grand destination.

It's a nice hotel but there is two down sides. One is that it is a more costly hotel for not a like an amazing hotel. 2. There is an outdoor lodge with hotel rooms but in the winter for the pool you have to walk about 20-30 metres to get in to the pool and it is FREEZING!!

A lovely place in a lovely setting. Very friendly, helpful staff. Tasty hot breakfast. Our room had a great view overlooking the lake but was in need of better cleaning and maybe a redecoration.

We had a great time here for a family getaway. I'd recommend the cottages as they are right on the waterfront. Lots of activities for everyone including paddle board, kayak, canoe and even a water trampoline. Mount Julian restaurant is reason alone for the trip, though we also liked the boathouse very much. Mount Julian is divine.

My wife and I spent our honeymoon here four years ago. Nice place, due for some upgrades, which could have happened since we were there. Friendly staff. Good chicken wings in that little restaurant above the boat house. Great memories.
