The vault seems like a nice place. Have been there night and day. The man refills our water wearing khaki shorts and grey shirt reminds me of a gardener. The food was prompt and hot. Knowing the history of this place gives you a different view.
But coming in and looking at plywood floors is a turnoff for a higher end restaurant.response / report this review -

Has a nice rustic vibe with awesome decor. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. You can actually dine in a vault. Not my thing but others seem to love it. And of course the food is amazing. Highly recommend, we eat here occasionally.

The atmosphere is unique and enjoyable and we were the only guests during a late lunch so the service was great. My food however, came extremely fast for a sit down restaurant and was not nearly hot enough. The flavor of the food was good.

The food was amazing and well priced for the quality and quantity that you receive. The staff were very friendly and our server Jordan checked up on us frequently and made sure our drinks were always full and fresh. Definitely recommended for a nice dinner, and will definitely be back in the near future.

Our favourite place! My husband took me on our first date to the Vault 5 years ago and we have back been many, many times since. We've never had a bad experience here and the service and food is always phenomenal! Tonight was no exception. The restaurant itself is eclectic and in great taste and the atmosphere can't be beat! Tonight even included an acoustic set by an excellent solo guitarist!

This place is really great atmosphere. We took the kids for dinner and there were mostly larger groups there so it took a while to get our food. I had the lobster raviloli and my husband had the surf and turf. He said said his steak was excellent. The kids ordered off the kids menu and I give them credit for serving FRESH ingredients and real breaded chicken strips. My picky eaters ate almost everything! We will probably be back. Overall a good experience.

Took my wife for a birthday dinner. Had arranged for a piece of cake with a candle to come after dinner .. never did. Ordered the Beef carpaccio and received smoked salmon for an appetizer. Food was pretty good but not worth the price. They really need to work on their service as the team did not seem very attentive nor did they bother to go above and beyond. Will not be returning.

The Vault has a wonderful atmosphere! The food is always good. My favorite is the ale braised shot rib and potatoes. it's consistently delicious. We visit the Vault at least once a year for our anniversary along with all the other special occasions we can cram in! Also the lobster ravioli is a hit along with the Pesto Pan Bread to die for! With all that said the service can be hit or miss

One of our favourites in Cloverdale for a long time. Unique location, especially 'The Vault' itself, at the back of the converted bank. I particularly like the Prime Rib, and the Cheesecake is always very tasty to chase it down with. The beer selection is reasonably interesting. The decor is eclectic, but not corny. Service is usually very good. Top marks.

Started with dry ribs which were excellent. Had the flank steak asked for medium rare but was more on the rare side. The butter on top was amazing along with the mashed potatoes. The steak was good but not what I ordered in terms of doneness. The creme brulee was mediocre, would not order again.
