Rented a truck for an expensive one way and they tried to let me think that the tank was full while instead it was at 3/4. After showing it to the associate he marked the rental paper as it were almost full. When I took a picture with my phone of the fuel gauge and the odometer he corrected his note right away. One more bad review for 30$ fuel over 1200$ one way rental is not a smart way to do business IMHO.

This is a review of this particular location only, not U-Haul as a whole. The staff were quick, friendly, and got people out the door with a rental as fast as possible on a very busy day. Trucks are in good condition. Wish the rest of U-Haul ran even half as smoothly as this location does!

Honestly, best customer experience I have ever had. These guys are streamlined and efficient. I pre booked online and showed up the morning of a month end moving date. There was no line up. The intake staff was friendly and quick. Truck was waiting for me. When I returned there was someone outside to immediately take my key, inspect the truck and I was on my way. Thank you guys for making my moving day less stressful!

Where shall I start.obviously the storage, rental truck business has become a commodity, cost savings everywhere. I don't blame the staff, I blame the management. I "reserved" a truck for a Saturday pickup, only to arrive the Saturday morning, wait 20 minutes in line, to hear, "we have no trucks". So much for reservations! Yes, they had trucks at another location, 20 kms away, and I could pick one up. (Basically 40km out of my way, there and back) at $.89 cents per Kilometer. There was nobody at the second location, (Technology way) so I couldn't get a dolly, hand truck, or blankets. by now my help has been standing around, waiting to help me move for a couple of hours. The truck was a mess when I picked it up, and I was charged $25 to clean it, when I dropped it off. The vehicle was in such a poor "state of repair" , I couldn't risk going over 80 kph on the highway. Total charges over $280.00
Next time i'll try Enterprise!

Had a horrible time at another location (they cancelled the truck on me without letting me know) and had the choice of coming here to pick up instead. I have always had a good experience at this location, so I went. Staff were friendly and well-informed. Made my stressful day much better. Almost worth driving out of the way every time. The only complaint I have is parking is an issue.

Friendly staff but the line up on any given afternoon is dreadful. Also, not flexible when returning a trailer I rented, having to risk running out of gas just so I could make it back in time. On the bright side though, their new online drop-off option was quite convenient when returning another trailer rental (just a few clicks and photos and you are done).

I have had multiple hitches installed on various vehicles here and they have always been good prices with excellent service. And just on a side note to the "EM" reviewer before me, I was there for that install and saw your vehicle. There was so much damage to your vehicle before the install and your rear bumper looked like it was damaged from being towed out of a ditch. Its not fair to blame others for your issues.

Do not get a hitch installed on your car here; go to the Hitch Shop. I arrived for my 9am appointment on time and expected to wait about an hour with my 3-year old to get a hitch installed on my car. At 10am the mechanic come over to me to tell me that they weren't able to find a hitch to install on my vehicle. I am extremely frustrated that they did not communicate this with me upon arrival or when they discovered that the hitch could not be located. They should have realized this within minutes and let me know so that I could make a decision on whether to wait around or not.

The mechanic himself was apologetic and offered a 10% to come back next week (really?). But, the staff at the desk was rude and told me to go to The Hitch Shop down the street. The Hitch Shop on 42 Ave was amazing! They squeezed us in and did the work in under 40 minutes. It was $100 more but definitely worth it.

Made an appointment for 9 a.m. sunday morning to get a hitch installed. Arrived at 8:45 only to be told in an extremely snarky manner that "we don't open for 15 minutes. Returned at 9 only to find a line up of 15 people waiting. After standing in line for 30 minutes I was informed that there was no mechanic available as he had worked mon to Friday. I needed this done in order to pick up a trailer I had bought.
Never again will I deal with this obnoxious company. Confirmed appointments mean nothing to them.

Usually a flawless experience except for the half hour lineup EVERY TIME.
How can such a busy place have only one or two workers at the counter, even on a Saturday?

Please for the love of all that is good, do yourself a favour and never rent from UHAUL, at the very least especially this location. I rented a truck here and was told the night before all of the gas was siphoned, so I would receive a credit if I filled the truck myself. I did so, and upon return I was told that they would not cover the amount I had to pay for gas (they wanted to give me half). I had receipts to prove what I had paid, but even after a call to the manager, in which the associate used the exact words, "we've got another one", they left me short and told me to deal with it. To be quite frank, if this had already happened throughout the day I would think they should have figured something out in the way of dealing with it.

On top of this, in the middle of a nice icy Canadian winter, they gave me a truck with extremely bald tires, as I pulled up out front of my new house the truck became stuck in the middle of the road! After unloading the truck, myself, my neighbours, all of my family, and a police officer who was passing by had to spend 3 hours getting the truck to the end of the street where I finally found traction. They all expressed fear on how I was even going to get back to the lot with the tires provided.

Needless to say, all of my concerns were brought up to the staff, I even attempted to contact their head office, and it seems as though they are trying to sweep this under the carpet. So I will not let up, and I will spread the word as far as I can.

PLEASE, PLEASE, STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS. There are many other truck rental companies out there who will gladly accept your business and follow it up with the proper customer service I would expect.
