I have honestly loved my time at Trent. The professors have pushed me to think more critically about so many social issues, helping me to change my perspective on so many topics. I'm going to be graduating in June and I'm so happy that Trent is the starting point for my future career.

I just wanted a show of hands. As I'm quite frustrated.
I myself am a new student at Trent, just started in January.
Did you know your bus pass is a mandatory fee, whether you pay for school through osap, out of your or your parents pockets, student line of credit or through your band. Your bus pass is an ancillary fee, so for most people your don't notice it being deducted from say your osap.
Ok say you have a car and pay for a parking pass does that mean you have an option.
Nope!
Even though you pay out of pocket for the parking pass you still have to pay out of pocket for your bus pass to.
Now i don't know about you but i literally do not use my bus pass, why then do i have to fork out 187 bucks for one after paying 190 for a parking pass.
So did any of you that your paying for both even though you only use 1. Now those who only use a bus pass is beneficial.
But i believe this option should just that an option. You should be able to choose which one.
I don't know about any of you, but i don't have extra money to throw down the drain for something i will literally never use.response / report this review -

First year was hard! I lived off campus and found it very hard to connect with other people but second and third year completely changed that! Your university career is all what YOU make it and if you don't try, then ya, university is going to suck. I love Trent! The professors I have had in the biology and chemistry program are great and they genuinely want you to succeed!! I understand why Trent is the #1 undergrad school in Ontario and I can say that the friendships I have made at Trent will last me forever! I highly recommend Trent as a amazing undergraduate experience for post secondary school :) #bleedgreen

I went to a few large universities before coming to Trent (Carelton, and Ottawa U for general business) while i was really trying to figure out what I wanted to do in life. When i came to Trent it was such a massive change compared to more traditional business thinking schools. Yes, Trent's business is not the most renowed in Canada, and Yes, we do not have millions of dollars to have every specialization you can think of for business. However, you will never just be a number, you will never just be taught formulas to figure out how to maximize profit, and you wont be taught the same classic business ideas that every other school teaches. At Trent you are taught the basics of business, but then you are taught how to actually THINK critically and out of the box in a very dynamic and unique way. Thats Trent's strong point! Being forced to think of the ideas for tomorrows problems. Also because of our size you will have more opportunities to participate in amazing activities such as our Trent Business Students' Association and business competitions! Trent was the best choice I made and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to be a leader and not just another business graduate who will follow the herd.

My daughter just started at Trent so it´s quite difficult to say anything specific but what I have seen - the premises and dormitory - everything seems to be in good shape. Dormitory brand new and spacous. Not far from the University buildings. Also Peterborough seems to be nice little town where people are friendly. Love the lake and canal. Too bad we missed the Liftlock cruise.

I absolutely loved my time at Trent University. The profs were amazing and knew me by name. They were always willing to help. Trent has such a range of classes and allows you to explore them. I made some of my best friends there that I still keep today. The landscape is beautiful and the city of Peterborough itself was great. My very first year I lived at Traill College before it turned into what I heard was a master's program and I had some of the best times. I would recommend this school to anyone who has Trent on their list of schools.

Used to work here. Loved the campus and the atmosphere. Wanted to send my kids here when they were older. Now, hearing about this It’s Ok to be Against Whiteness rally that’s happening my opinion is no longer a high one. I’m ashamed In have to pay tax dollars to support this farce of a University. What a disgusting display of racism Trent University!

It's pretty good. It's one of the best racist universities that exist. And there are a lot of them so that's saying something. Unfortunately they exist in Ontario where no citizen can do wrong so they ignore their issues.

I remember the creation of Trent when I was a boy.. Rubidge Hall and the Langton House.. recieved my degree over 40years ago and proudly watched my university welcome people from all over the world.. now I'm ashamed to be associated with a PC reversely racist institute.

This year is my first time I went to Canada to settle down and was in the process of finding a good university in Canada and now I live in Oshawa, near Trent University. Trent is a magical place where a lot of good happens. It encourages critical thinking, nurtures student, staff and faculty success, and makes a genuine difference in Peterborough.

Its dark and super slippery walkwayseverywhere in the winter. Not overly inclusive of students who commute, alot of the activities were not communicated outside of dorms first year. Id recommend living either in peterborough near campus or the bus or on campus for first year.

They say they host birthday parties however you can never book one, not by calling, going in, or emailing. No one calls back - terrible service. My daughters birthday has went by and still nothing has been confirmed or booked. If you are looking into anything business at trent - i would strongly discourage it.

You would think that a University that prides itself on sustainability would care more about its wetlands and the animals and species at risk who are home to it. Just goes to show that educational institutions are 'green' when it financially suits their image. Garbage.

every year there seems to problems with the courses that Joint Major students are allowed in; they are not deemed equal to other students and they are treated as seconds class. Administration needs improving in a big way and some of the Prof need to remember that this is their job and they should be responsive/available to the students.
