The Best timemaker in Lower Mainland.
I know lot of cases when this chronologyst repaired watches that others had said could not be repaired even historical and very expensive. He has a huge knowledge and whole life of experience.

Asked them to replace a battery in a watch. The last time I went it was $10. This time it was $28. That's an awful lot of money to change a battery in a watch. I told him it was too much. I told him last time it was only $10. I told him I wouldn't be back. He didn't seem to care at all. He is more interested in money then in customer service.

I found the store to be very warm and welcoming. Staff seemed knowledgable but I was disappointed when I had a platinum ring resized. The owner told me it would look "like new" when it was done, and I had a lot of fun talking to him. The work was done quickly (two days!) and the rate was very competitive. When I picked up the ring I saw two visible lines where the soldering had taken place. I've had other platinum rings re-sized and the seam has not been visible, so I was disappointed. I told myself that maybe it wouldn't bother me, so I took the ring home and slept on it. I called the store the next day because the visible seam was driving me crazy! I spoke with a lovely woman who essentially told me, "Don't worry - we'll fix this! Bring it in." So I did. (And it was not that easy for me to just pop in, because I have a newborn baby - but I badly wanted this resolved so I went there ASAP.)
When I got into the store, the woman I had spoken to on the phone directed me to the owner. He started explaining to me that rings will ALWAYS have signs of being resized and that there was nothing he could do. What a waste of my time, and also - this is not true. It is completely possible to resize rings and for the work to be invisible. I think it is outside of the realm of what their goldsmith can accomplish, or they choose not to use those methods which presumably take more time or cost more money.
The repair was done swiftly and locally, and the customer service was mostly friendly. I am sure that for most repairs they are great and their prices are low. But take your platinum elsewhere if you are a perfectionist like me. I remain disappointed with the level of service I received, and to have my past experiences questioned was rather condescending. I'll be taking my future business elsewhere. Aldergrove has a goldsmith that I am happy with so far.response / report this review -

Took my father's diamond ring in to be repaired. The back of the ring was cracked and the claws holding the diamond in were down to nothing. The workmanship was professional and completed earlier than expected. It wasn't cheap to repair but this is not a cheap ring. It came back to us looking brand new!

Bought a few nice watches from here, service has always been amazing. And free battery replacements for life. I've even gotten straps on my watches changed for free. The new employees and owner are also very nice.

Hands down best jeweller around. i had some problems with my chain and the Time Master team were the only people that were able to help me. Not only that but they now have me, my friends and family coming to them for business from here on out. Highly reccomend.

The new owner as well as the lady at the front were both super friendly, I appreciated the fact they were able to fix my hubbys watch right away as I am not local and was on my way home from work. It was our anniversary and that made his night to have the watch back. Very reasonable price too.

I needed a diamond replaced and the claws redone on my wedding set and their estimate came in lower and repair was done faster than anywhere else. Service was also top notch and I highly recommend this shop for repairs and purchase. We also purchased a watch for my husband and a gold bracelet for myself and both were of excellent quality. I'm honestly very surprised by the negative reviews by previous posters as this shop went out of their way to make sure that we were satisfied customers.

pricing is extremely high, charged $30 for a watch battery I've had replaced at several other places for $10. Then started making excuses as to why it's more than the $10 I've paid elsewhere. Of course their batteries are better quality. My own fault for not asking for prices up front. Beware

He is a very rude and pompous man. Would not replace the battery in my daughter's watch. His reputation is bang on. If it's not expensive then he isn't interested. He must be independently wealthy since he is fine turning business away. The nice women at The Bay was more then happy to serve us.

I had the battery changed on my Swiss made dive watch, with the required seal check, and pressure test. A few hours later the watch stopped working. When I returned with the watch I was informed that I needed to pay an additional $135.00 to have the watch "serviced" in order to make it work again. This watch had been running flawlessly, and only needed a new battery. My very expensive time piece now has to be sent back to the manufacturer in Switzerland in hopes they can repair it. I truly feel taken advantage of by Time Master Jewellers Ltd.
