Great ride. A must do if you are visiting or even if you live in Toronto. The crew is great and good service. I'd just recommend a better beer selection. Amazing photo opportunities during sunset.
A unique and memorable experience with the Tall Ship Kajama. The ship arrived exactly as scheduled and the student volunteers/staff do a seemingly effortless job in directing the passengers onto the ship and through the activities aboard. There is a photographer on board who presents prints of shots they've captured to you, which is made available for purchase on site.
The schedule of operations is organized gracefully; you need only to follow and enjoy the experience. The ship's history is enthusiastically explained to the diversity of passengers, and individuals are able to volunteer to partake in activities aboard the ship (i.e. raising the sails). The volunteers/staff are extremely enthusiastic, as they sing aloud and immerse the passengers in the full experience. For a two hour journey, you are encouraged to feel part of the history.
My favorite boat. Have gone at least once every summer for past few years . Staff always very friendly & this boat seems to attract the most friendly customers too. Great sight seeing out on the water. Go for the late evening cruise times as the view is so beautiful when the sun is going down. Can often be found on Groupon for a bit of a discount. Perfect for all ages including families with kids.
I had a hard time redeeming the Groupon but eventually we got it worked out. The whole family (with kids ages 5-18) enjoyed it! Had fun helping to raise the sails.
A quick trip on the Lake Ontario Much shorter distance than expected (only touched the tip of the Toronto Islands). Great on board staff jolly and helpful Bathrooms need cleaning though. The evening trip gives you access to a great downtown view.
if you like sailing around doing nothing for a hour and half..sure! go ahead! They tell you it is a two hour tour but they use 30 minutes of your time to board the ship. Could use a lot more entertainment and seating. Also, be careful of staff adding their own outrageous tip on your bill without your permission. Bathrooms are disgusting an staff are not synchronized smh!! every staff gives you a different answer or explanation. Would not recommend! I do not even want to give it one star!
First time on a sail boat. Great time for a good price
Approximate two hour sail. Well organized and seats large groups. Accommodates food/bar requirements.
Experience includes safety instructions, locations for safety rafts, etc
Passengers allowed to help put up sails (harder than it seems but fun)
Music playing while sailing around the Toronto waters. Great view and entertaining sail. Great for dates and family activities. Due to the length of the sail, it may not be recommended as a party boat but would be a great start to an eventful party night.
Food a big overpriced but appeared high in quality. Includes downstairs dining option.
Recommended to try out
Approachable and helpful staff. Food is OK for little munching. I prepaid for food thinking it might be expensive to buy there but nothing of that sort.
Amazing experience. The crew are very nice and polite. The tour is very enjoyable and the ship itself was very well maintained. The food was a bit pricey but the quality is very good.
On the ship, the whole thing was very, boring. The staff started a history of the boat, not well rehearsed. They tried to keep interest, but barely succeeded. I wouldn't go here again. Views were nice though.
Cruise was fun, Price was reasonable, worth doing once but I probably wouldn't go a second time. Staff were friendly. Food and drink on boat are expensive and nothing special. Washrooms on boat were very dirty.
Fun. Good value as we purchased deal through Groupon. Food and drink are expensive so bring plenty of your own water if it's very hot.
Crew were polite and courteous.
Worth doing at least once.
