  We wanted to try everything but 2 of us decided to share a few items. Mac & Cheese! Yummy! Very cheesy, lots of flavour. Brisket, was tender and tasty. Caesar salad, real croutons, big chunks of double smoked bacon, tasty dressing (lettuce was cut pretty big) but that’s a personal choice. My only disappointment was the poutine. Based on the number of orders coming out I may be the only one who thinks this. I like thick cut fries (these are thin) lots of real curds (melts and delicious), but the gravy was pretty bland. Which I thought odd for a smokehouse. Overall a great place. Friendly staff, good food, big portions, good beer. Would go back if in the area.

  Myself, along with my relatives visiting from England tried to eat at your establishment on Monday. We walked up and asked the employee out front if we could sit outside on the patio. She said "sure thing" and started to guide us to two tables (there were six of us). We asked to push the two tables together so we could sit together. Initially she responded, "no, I can't do that", then stated she'd actually go ask the manager.
  
  
  
  The manager curtly and quickly replied, "no" without giving our request a second thought. So, we said "thanks, but we'll go elsewhere" - which we did.
  
  
  
  We were told that six people sitting together would take up too much room. Keep in mind, these two tables each had four chairs = eight people could have sat on the patio.
  
  
  
  Please explain to me how much logic there is in saying that six people sitting together would take up more room than eight. Also, there was clearly enough space on the patio to simply rotate the two tables together.
  
  
  
  Anyway, all this to say, the attitude and the way we were treated wasn't acceptable. And, your establishment lost out on the revenues of a six-person party - due to the lack of consideration on your staff's part.
  
  
  
  This is unacceptable customer service and possible the foreshadowing of a failed business.

  Got a grey and old piece of chicken from them today after waiting over an hr for delivery from skip. It’s not editable whatsoever and would have probably put in the hospital if I ate it.

  Good food. Took the mesquite ribs. Did not know they would be like that. I like saucy ribs. Shared that with my daughter and had a poutin. Holy crap it was amazing and huge. My hubby had the shaque burger and side of fries. All was awesome. When it came to paying took forever to get our bill. Then gave her a gift certificate she did not know what to do with it. So took longer. All in all it was good. But probably won't be back as I hate downtown.

  As a "southerner" who has had barbecue from Texas to Memphis to Cincinnati let me tell you it is authentic. My Compliments to the pit master. Food and beverage was plentiful enough for sharing. Great sides include sweet cornbread, smokey baked beans and lucious creamy cole slaw. The fries were over spiced and salted for my taste. We could have used some guidance that "Sharing" sizes could feed four adults and we only had two in our party. "Sit down easy and get up greasy!"

  Based on internet reviews we thought we would give them a try. So glad we did; absolutely delicious! Love that you can get 1/4 portions because with the sides, which are very generous portions, you end up with a lot of food. They were extremely busy so a bit of a wait for the patio, but service once we were seated was excellent. Will absolutely go again the next time we visit Ottawa.

  First time for us tonight at the Smoque Shack! All I can say is AWESOME! We are absolutely amazed with the service, atmosphere, and of course the melt in your mouth back ribs mmmmmmmmmm they were amazing and the sweet potato fries and creamy cole slaw! We will deffinitely be back to try other foods from the menu. Thank you for being in existence ♡♡

  I loved this place, I used it on cheat day (I train allot and eat clean) and to be honest one of the if not the best BBQ smoke shop place around the Ottawa-hull-Gatineau region a must try!

  Had dinner with family. Everything was fantastic! We shared 2 platters and didn't come close to eating it all. The best way to get to try more than one thing. I can't wait for our next trip to Ottawa and come back to eat again.

  Went for the first time on Friday. Great tentative service and the food was to die for. The shaqed fries were the best I've ever had, the seasoning on the fries alone was delicious. All around fantastic food, will definitely be back.

  Came here with my wife to celebrate our anniversary and we were very impressed. We had ribs, wings and fries and it was all fantastic. The staff was super friendly. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place!

  Delicious - ribs, wings, mac and cheese, poutine, brisketall of it. Love the truck at Fury matches, and have made it a goal to get down to the full restaurant more often. Great selection and prices. Will be back for sure!

  The DBK sandwich was absolutely the best I have ever eaten!!!! The mac n cheese was great too. Definitely worth every penny. Can't wait to try other items on my next trip to Ottawa.

  I ordered the 1/4 pound pulled pork. Should have ordered the 1/2 pound. So yummy! My son ordered the DBK sandwich.too much food even for a 16 year old. But he said it was delicious. The chipotle dip with sweet potato fries was spicy.

  I had a great experience here on my birthday. The piri piri rib tips kicked me in the face they were so spicy and saucy, just how I like it. Brisket was tender, Caesar salad was also tasty.

  very disgusting. the floor was so greasy i slipped and almost broke my shoulder.
  
  the management lied to me saying they would send me a measly fifty dollar certificate which was a big lie.
  
  i suffered pain for two days and was not able to do a thing.
  
  if the floors r dirty greasy imagine the kitchen.

  Just had a half rack of baby back ribs, they were pretty amazing!!!! Best I have had in Ottawa so far! Fall off the rib prefectness along with a delicious sauce :) Sooo good! Thank you!

  Everything on the menu looked so amazing we had trouble choosing. So we ordered way more than we could eat! Definitely recommend it.
