I went to get my cast loosened and there was a dude named jasper and he made it even tighter, as well as he wasn't very friendly. last time i got 5 layers and the guy put it on nicely. this time some of the cast is on my fingers which are perfectly fine. i also won't suggest it unless your being helped by a young 20s doctor as they are usually friendier

I recently required a trip to the emergency department of Surrey Memorial Hospital and on a weekend at that. I thought "Oh, boy, this is going to be a challenging experience." But, I could not have been more wrong. The staff were friendly with smiles to greet me and always courteous. They seemed very efficient in their performance of their jobs. I was in the emergency unit for nearly five hours, but given the amount of care and labs etc. that I required I thought it was a quick and productive trip. Time well spent. The building is a new build and beautiful. The coffee shop and the cafeteria were well stocked and clean with friendly staff. In fact the entire facility where I was at was remarkably clean and tidy. If I ever have to use an emergency room again it will be Surrey Memorial as my first choice.

My emergency room doctor was first class as was the gal who drew blood from me. It is always good for blood work if you don't feel a thing when she sticks you with the needle. Yep, she was one of the best. Nursing staff top notch for sure.

This is my first review ever and I decided to post as our hospital experience at FBU surrey memorial was amazing. Our first baby boy was born there. I herd all the bad rumors and was expecting the worst but soon realizing how amazing everyone was. We spend 4 days there and went through numerous nurses and doctors. Everyone of them was very profesional and very very friendly.

The nurses are very unprofessional and have mind of their own. They ask you silly questions and give you nonsensical advice. Just to talk to the patient (my father) they gave me hell. I live in USA and was planning a trip to come to Surrey to find out the condition of my father. They acted like they were the outsourced nurses from Philippines. I wish they had better ethics.

One of the worst experiences of my life. The staff did unmentionable things to me and didn't even care when I almost died. I tried to tell them I was drowning in my own mucus and couldn't breathe because my throat was completely closed by writing it on my phone just before it got too bad to do anything because I couldn't talk and they just tossed a basin at me. I tried to motion to the bag I already had because I couldn't get it out of my throat into a bag- it was stuck- and I was just gurgling and in the end I had to stick my finger down my swollen tonsillitis throat, pull out some mucus and then barf out the rest which was incredibly painful as my tonsils were almost split in half from barfing and being so swollen for a couple days. It was the size of a bouncy ball-green and brown- when I had a straws worth of room left to breathe. I also had somebody asked me how I was doing at another point, I croaked I can't breathe very well and they said okay good and left. I wanted a mucus sucker and it was hard to actually get one dash no one even knew what I was talking about and the only reason we're I knew about it is because my son had brain cancer and children's hospital had it for him because he had mucositis there. I finally got one when my husband had came in and the only reason why he counldn't stay is cuz we had two little kids and they never were giving me a chance to breastfeed by the way.

They suspected I had Mono and strep and I guess tonsillitis. I also heard somebody outside my room say meningitis which freaked me out but didn't seem to fit but they were clearly talking about me but no one really said much to me or watched me make sure I wasn't having allergic reaction too the medication when they knew I had a childhood allergy to one being tried. I was told to tell them if I had a allergic reaction when I was in there because I couldn't talk and was having trouble breathing I was also physically hurt by one of them and was bleeding 4 days after but it's personal and I'm not going to go into details but it was horrifying. And now I can breathe and swallow but it seems like it's coming back and so I tried to get my blood records because they never officially diagnosed me with anything and the records Clerk said there's nothing they can do I can have them in 30 daysSo now I'm effed. This is the worst bloody hospital I've ever, ever, ever experienced. Honestly, more stuff happened but it was too traumatic to even talk about. I am so scared I'm going to have to go back there. I would gladly drive an hour to another hospital to never go back to that place again. This isn't an isolated incident either I've had to be there 2 other times for my kids and both times I was met with complete incompetence. Just none of them made me fear for my life this much.

Don't be fooled by all the negative reviews regarding the FBU ward - they are all extremely professional, friendly, and very informative. I came in at 6AM with contractions and they helped me deliver my (first) baby by 12:14pm! The nurses and doctors were extremely patient and very caring. My experience was very positive and if I could, I'd recommend everybody to come to this hospital!

Got transferred from Peace Arch. The transfer was great, and I got a nice room straight away. The nurses were all very nice and polite. Not all of them were very knowledgeable about my condition, but most were. I also asked about a room change, which I got. That made my stay a lot more comfortable. Overall, it was a good stay.

Absolutely obscene wait times. I waited over 4hrs and never got to see a doctor or a nurse. When I asked how long it may be before I saw someone the nurse shrugged and says she didn't know. It depends. I go on to say "so it could be 12hrs more then?" To which she replied "it's quite possible". There needs to be some hiring and firing here were it is needed. I won't ever go back because I would die in the waiting room. Understaffed is an understatement. Unless you're bleeding out from a gunshot I suggest you avoid this hospital.

Excellent staff, doctors and nurses in the pediatric er. Efficient triage, and great care. We were in and out over 3 days with a serious issue and I was thoroughly pleased with our level of care.

We were told that the maternity ward was completely redone and we were in good hands but do not be fooled. The ward itself has been remodeled ( paint. Lights floors.) The equipment looks 20 years old it was a horrible experience, my wife gave birth in a bed with wooden rails and we found a piece of old wood holding her mattress for support. The co sleeper for the man is a folding chair and you sleep on the floor it's terrible. They have the air conditioner blasting are baby was shaking we didn't want to do skin to skin time cause Your freezing. The heater in our room did not work. When we arrive they told us we had to wait because all the rooms were full and tried redirecting us but my wife was already 4 cm. The food is terrible and they asked us for our insurance company so they could charge them for our stay after we were told the rooms were free? ( The nurses are amazing tho !! Made things easy for us so props to them) so please be advised this place is so uncomfortable and terrible. What a wake up call I was so disappointed I just wanted to leave the entire time we stayed.

Why on earth are there staff their that look like they don't even wanna be there or even help you? Rude with smirks on their faces and all. Why are you in Health Care if you don't care about peoples health? Wasting tax payers money..hiring people that don't even care at all. The service wasn't good and it takes WAY to long to get help, Its called a Emergency after all. You're suppose to comfort people and help them. Absolutely ridiculous service from a hospital. Just coming here gives me extreme anxiety considering the unwelcome, uncared-for vibe.

My visit today was speedy and efficient. The hospital is very clean and bright. When I mentioned I felt hungry, a nurse brought me a full hot dinner. If I ever need a hospital visit again I will go to Surrey Memorial for sure!

I suggest not going to this hospital if you expect that you were spiked by someone who is at a higher level than you or with a lot more reputation (or if you are a minority).

They will have a heads up to whom done it before you need to be checked out at the hospital. They will check for drugs and all but will lie on the drug test to protect whomever as that person will be deemed more valuable. (I had withdrawals as well)
