Whenever I spoke to the owner on the phone he never knew what was going on or who I was. After booking a weekend for a large group I called days before we were to leave and he couldn't find our reservation. When we showed up he had moved us from one cabin to another without even asking. The barbecue didn't work and we had to use a small one for a large group. We rented a boat to go fishing and I had asked the owners if we could have life jackets so we could take off early without bothering them. We didn't get the life jackets till noon. But it didn't matter because the boat wouldn't start anyway. When we finally got the boat on the water he said because we lost half the day we could us the boat the next day for free. Guess what happened the next day. The boat wouldn't start. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.
Staff were extremely nice and going the extra mile. If the cabins and the lake were nicer the place would be perfect
Well we didn't actually stay here, however after my experience in dealing with this resort, you can be assured that I never will. We were planning a girls weekend and were trying to do a wine tour in conjunction. I booked the resort in late May and when we could to arrange a wine tour, called and cancelled the resort on June 7th, speaking directly to one of the owners Ricky. In July, when we did not show up for the reservation that Ricky did not cancel, the resort said that we did not cancel and at that time tried to bill my credit card. I have been in contact with Booking. com, to have this rectified, however I feel that this was done intentionally by the resort owner to be able to claim the fee for accommodations for not cancelling in time. I will never stay here now, nor would I suggest it as a place I know to stay.
Great people running this place. They are friendly and helpful. Since taking over this place from the previous owner they have renovated a few of the cabins very nicely and are continuing to work on the rest of them. The people who visit Stoneburg Cove are friendly. It is a great place for families and Wellers Bay is fun for boating, fishing and relaxing.
We stayed in Cabin 1 and it was filthy, smelled of mould, and mouse urine. The bathroom smelled like a septic tank was being emptied out. There were ants and spiders all over the place. The floors hadn't been swept, counters and kitchen table were covered in dust/dirt. The worst part was the smell. I was expecting a clean camping experience but it was far more unsanitary than it needed to be. I would not recommend staying here.

The new owners are working on renovating the cabins and making some improvements. The boat docks are still rough, but the fishing is good.
Never make the mistake to go at this horrible place. Every house are very very dirty. A lot of mouses and rats. Bed bugs and other.
Dont trust this place.
I love this place
