As the Vernon Ski Club gets ready for the 2018/2019 season with a new coach at the helm, we couldn't help but notice the "83rd year" mentioned in the story. Kudos to the community! That is amazing. We can't even imagine how many kids have been through this program and that's something to think about. Whether the participants went on to became Olympians or not, we should never overlook the importance of community ski clubs just like this one, to Canada's ski industry overall.

Hey ya all - this is one beauty shot and it's definitely inviting. We know the cool weather and early snows has everyone stoked for snow, but please, if you decide to do a little hiking up into the hills for some turns, keep yourself safe. A great resource with discount coupons and offers. Would love to see some kind of indicator to let us know when a particular mountain is open/closed (sash type corner marker - open now!)
