Reasonable prices food and drinks and good service.
The food is consistently good. Does well to differentiate from the cheaper chain competition. Their vegetarian options are very tasteful as well.
Could definitely improve on the hospitality and customer service but that's not bad either. Prices are justified, so if you can afford it, you should go.
This place is incredible. I go to Sam's at least three times a week to hangout and study. It is the perfect spot for university students to hangout inbetween classes. The customer service is amazing, the food is awesome, and the best part; Grimburgen beer!!! They are one of the few places in this city that carries it. It is the best beer I have ever had, and I have tried many beers 😂😂 Seriously though, this place rocks for many reasons, check it out!
Food was amazing. I had the lasagna. The staff are upbeat and quick to serve. The gentleman, I assume is the owner or manager, was extremely funny and personable.
I've been here enough.
Sam's is one of my favorite restaurants in Windsor. I'm sad they removed the Escargot from the menu recently, as the Chef knew what he was doing, and it was a really spot-on-dish. The portions of food are generous; the prices are reasonable. Specials on drinks make for a pretty good watering hole: you can get a pitcher of rum and coke, with a little more of 3oz of booze, for $10.
The food has, in my experience, been consistently good, if not amazing. While the overall selection is good, they know what they're doing with what is on the menu. The staff is incredibly friendly, can carry a conversation, without being intrusive, or overbearing, and irritatingly attentive like some other places I've been.
The interior of the place is gorgeous; with very rustic presentation; wood walls and a dais with more dining seats; copper, or brass pipe-railings. The exterior isn't much to look at, but indoors it's gorgeous.
My only complaint is that, while the venue is pretty small, there's always a group or two of incredibly noisy university students, who are practically screaming at one another despite sitting two feet apart.
The pizza is pretty good. Ladies bathroom stall is very tight. If you bring your purse & hang it in the stall you barely can move in the stall. To close and open the stall door you need to stand over the toilet to swing the door to get out.
I've never written a review until now. For the price I paid, this is the worst quality food. Everything was so bland, it was totally not worth it. I decided to give this place another chance after ordering delivery once before and after two hours of not receiving food, I was basically told sorry too bad maybe next time. I truly regret coming back a second time.
Sam's is iconic it's been in Windsor longer than I've been alive. I've been going there my whole life. Unfortunately it's changed hands a number of times and the latest version isn't quite as good as it used to be. We've had very mixed results ordering pizza. Sometimes it's some of the best in the city but then the next time it's only okay. My wife does love the panini and my mom the pene
ordered soup, pasta and pizza for delivery. Food came in about 50 minutes. No spoon for soup or plates or napkins were sent. When i called i was told that i should get those from the lobby. Very rude and not appreciated.
Generally good food. The pizza is no longer as good as it used to be. Perfectly accessible by myself, but my disabled mother is unable to use the washroom: navigation is difficult and the toilet is too low. So on behalf of my mother I am giving an appropriate rating. Perhaps a single large unisex washroom would be appropriate?
