We are extremely pleased to know our impact assists individuals to take painful life experiences and turn them into something positive. STR8 UP presented at the Birch Narrows Dene Nation Justice/Wellness Conference at Palmbere Lake in Northern Saskatchewan yesterday. Members shared their stories to over 70 youth and support staff from 5 surrounding communities. STR8 UP is grateful to have been invited-we look forward to being back up north soon! On May 31st, 2018, the STR8 UP Moving Forward Program wrapped up. The 18 month program allowed our members to learn about their addictions, build and expand on their personal knowledge and take responsibility for their healing. Our members also built healthy relationships with each other and created strong ties to community members and our partners. We are so thrilled about the success of our members who showed up week after week,determined to succeed and not give up. We wish them all best as they move forward to next part of their lives!

STR8 UP took part in the National Aboriginal Day celebrations yesterday. For three years we’ve celebrated and had the chance to visit with hundreds of kids, women and men and tell them who we are and what we do.
