A wonderful trail goes all the way around the lake. There is a specific area for your pooch to swim and wonderful picnic spots.

The campsites are great. They are well kept and the garbage is picked up frequently. Washrooms tended daily. The lake is warm but there's lots of vegetation and the beach doesn't have many areas with shade. Bring an umbrella or easy up to keep from roasting.

Nice scenery, the campground has a nice playground for the children. There is a beach by the lake also, although the sand is gravel like. The water entry to the lake is somewhat muddy and the lake water not clear. Lake is decent size but small enough to avoid waves in the water. Great for the children. No powerboats permitted which means the lake is quieter than most. Campsites do not have much foliage between them and noise can carry. There are very regular payrolls by staff.

I would give this place two stars only. First of all the beach has a SMALL roped off area and once you go past the ropes it's seaweed city. The lake also smelled dirty. The parking lot is also very small, limited for visitors and EVERYONE took up like 3 spots. I had to basically park in the bush. If you have small babies or children it is warm and gets deep gradually. That is the only positive- this is deffinatly a fishing and children's lake.

Fantastic Little Campground!

This is basically your typical provincial park campground, with a few notes:

1. The hot showers are free and quite warm unless the hot water tank is depleted. It's push-button style
2. The out houses are conveniently located, but they're out houses. From our camp ground it was a good few minutes walk to the main and significantly more comfortable bathroom which was well kept
3. They have a decent playground for kids next to the main bathroom. If you want peace and quiet, probably a good choice to avoid a site too close to the playground

Besides that, it's located right next to Rolley Lake - maybe a 5-10 minute walk with kids to get to the beach area. The water was warm and the kids had a funplaying in the water and sand. You can walk around Rolley lake in around an hour and a half (with kids).

I didn't locate a dish washing station, but I didn't explore the whole campground. The staff were very nice and helpful, and we had a great experience there.

Rolley Lake is a nice, heavily treed campground with moderate facilities. Showers are available and we were able to enjoy the off leash beach for the dogs. The hike around the lake was easy, while the falls trail will give you good vertical workout.

Lovely place in many senses. Quiet camping place, which is always busy. Nice trail around the lake. Good fishing in the lake. Somewhat OK picnic area.

We have camped here for 10 years. I love the campground with its location close to the city. Sadly this will be our last camping experience with this or any BC provincial campground die to the change in reservations. They have eliminated the 1st come first serve sites and made it 100 percent reservations. It is a sad day when we lose our campgrounds to an overseas market. They will lose allot of locals. Question is why ate our taxes going into these parks to cover the tourist industry.

We came to the park to see the waterfall but we didn't get to the falls as the trail is almost impassable. The vegetation is closing in on the trail. It would appear that the parks staff are not maintaining this trail. With a full campground, I would expect the trails to be better maintained.

Great local lake. It has a very accessible trail loop around the lake. Not sure about the camping yet but may try it out this summer.

One of the hidden gems within an hour of the city. It's a great place to meet up with family and friends for BBQ on the beach. There is an off leash area for the dog owners as well! Fresh, clean lake water for that summer dip.

Beautiful campground with private sites and close to town. Weekends can be very loud after hours and staff lacks the ability to stand by their campground policies. Quiet hours are not maintained. Don't expect to get a good night's sleep here.
