If you are looking for a short hike to start off with, this one is a good one. Takes about 20 minutes to walk up to the summit, it's not too steep and the view from the top is amazing (you get the whole Valley spread out bellow you and can see from Cultus to the Fraser).

A great hike, lots of nice people always on the trail sometimes the odd dear rare to see a bear / cougar but they are around. Some people pack a snack or water bottle but everyone takes there garbage back with them so plan to pack out what you bring in.
