Pricey but you get what you pay for! Really flavourful pizza with a delicious crust, perfect for dipping in chilli oil. Half priced bottles of wine from 4-6pm can’t be beat.

"The pizza is the best one I had in Calgary by far. The appetizers are perfectly sized, authentic Italian cuisine reinvented with a contemporary twist. The lamb meatballs were extremely tender. Service - on point. Decor - on point. Patio - very nice for Calgary."
That was my first review.
We came back and the pizza wasn't the same. The dough was not crunchy, it had a weird taste. Consistency is very important. The third time we ordered pizza we realized we would never come back. The prosciutto had a weird smell, the dough was too flufy and overall the pizza had no taste. And it is a $27 pizza. The meatballs were dry and tasteless this time.response / report this review -

YUM! We ordered the tasting menu and were very happy with the selection of dishes. My favourite from the menu was the beet perogi, and the spinach/mushroom pizza, some of the best pizza I've had, delicious! We sat at the bar and watched the chef's prepare the dough and watched the pizza's cook in the large open oven, a great dining experience.

Great drinks, tried the perogie and it was delicious. Will have to go back. Love that there's an option on the menu to let the bartender decide your drink and the baker decide your dessert!

Super original pizza. Loved it. It has the wood oven flavour of pizza from Naples and the doughiness of more North American pizza.
I had the #9 which was a spicy Hawaiian and my partner had the #2 (I think) which was fig/mushroom/etc which was also delicious.

I don't write reviews typically, but I feel the need to share my recent experience with Posto.
After the 30 minute seating wait (which was reasonable) we were very hungry. We waited longer than I thought appropriate for service between getting water and the waiter coming back for our drink orders, only to be told they had sold out of the all beer specials (but had not mentioned this when we first sat down?). Disappointed, we stuck with water. One of the party is Celiac and asked some questions about the menu, she ended up choosing the Poke plate without the wonton wrappers (they used house-made chips instead, which was a good idea). We ordered three pizzas for the three remaining. After a reasonable wait, the poke plate was brought out - and we expectantly waited for the pizza. Finally, my friend started eating, and about ten minutes after her plate had arrived, our first pizza did. The second pizza took another ten minutes, and then once that one was done we waited for the final pizza. Fifteen minutes after, the incorrect pizza was brought to our table.. after pointing this out, we were told that since it was on the table we could eat it, and the correct pizza would be out soon. The waiter joked that the next table had gotten our pizza, and asked if we wanted their pizza instead? Finally we received the final pizza, but at this point we were rather unimpressed. Our waiter made jokes that I found belittling throughout the ordeal, we did not get to eat as a group as the food was so badly timed, the servers and kitchen seemed unorganized - as much as we love the pizzas, I am not sure we will be back.response / report this review -

The appetizers are tasty, the pizza is good but what is it with the prices??? $ 60 is the cheapest bottle of wine and it's not great. A glass of wine $12+ . Come on people this Calgary restaurant on a busy street not the Eiffel tower in Paris. Calgary's restaurant prices are consistently off the charts. The food and experience don't justify the prices. Especially when Calgarians and the city are experiencing severe economic struggles.

We had high hopes for Posto after hearing good words from friends, but it turned out to be quite disappointing. We ordered 2 pizzas and a ravioli. One of the pizza came out burnt and need to be remade, yet still came out burnt around the crust. The pizzas were great, the ravioli was good. I would have rated this place a 4-star if it wasn't for our server. He was extremely inattentive and made us feel unwelcome with this rude gestures. And for this reason we will not be returning to the restaurant, same great food can be found from other restaurants with much better service.

Such a fun atmosphere! The pizza is so good and the rest of the food is always unique and delicious! I love sitting at the pizza bar watching the kitchen hard at work!

Posto presents a classy cozy environment and adds Calgary's best pizza. I have never been more impressed by a pizzeria, it is a bit pricey but any concerns about its value are gone once you take your first bite.
Finally, a pizza in Calgary that has delicious sauce and a crust with more taste than most breads! Certain to impress any good company.response / report this review
