The overall experience was average to great.
The lobster bisque had chunks of thickener on it but was tasty.
The fish tacos were just ok (my wife was hoping for better lol)
As for the wild cod fish and chips, the fish was excellent, perfectly fried and flavourful. But the fries were only slightly warm :(
The service was very good, fast and friendly.
So overall the wild cod fish saved the meal! Lol.

4 small shrimp for $7.00 is robbery! If it were in the restaurant rather than delivery I'd have complained. Quality and portion size has seriously declined. The delivery charge is excessive. Maybe in-restaurant is still good. Delivery is not.

Lunch fish taco special was meant to be all you can eat. Unfortunately it was busy and understaffed/underprepared for such an ordeal. It ended up turning into an "all you can be served in an hour lunch break" which was once, food only as getting a water would have taken too much time.
Delicious food but terrible experience. All of these issues could have been easily avoided. Have no reason to go back.response / report this review -

This place has the best Decor of any Joey's Only. You feel as though you're in England and excellent staff. My favorite place to go in Calgary for fish and chips.

Very laid back and relaxed atmosphere, great service, and delicious food. The halibut is breaded in case you decide to get that, and the portion sizes are quite generous. Sign up for their mailing list at least a week before your birthday and you get a coupon for your age's percentage off your bill for a max of $25 savings.
