Don't bother arriving early as they allow people to board 25 minutes after. It seems they are just concerned about making $$$ vs providing a enjoyable experience for parents and kids. If you have a toddler I wouldn't recommend.
Good fun attraction in port! Interesting tour run by volunteers who were quite friendly. Price was a bit steep but dont let that stop you
A great train museum with a lot of history. The staff was friendly and very knowledgeable about the area and train line. The train is well maintained and children will love the train ride and exploring the old rail equipment.
We took our two boys (1 and 3). They loved the toys and artifacts in the train station. Once on the train we chose the car with half open air/half closed. It was a very overcast day so it was a great option to have. The train ride was fun, the scenery just average, (although my wife did see a deer). But really, this is an outing for the kids and they loved it! Would definitely recommend it.
Great little train ride, with a guided tour. The trip should go further but due to some regulation issues it can't for now, hopefully that will change. I loved the sounds of the trains wheels on the tracks! And port Stanley is a great place to go too!
A great train ride full of information about the rail line and port stanley.
A slice of local history. Well worth checking out and revisiting from time to time.
Can't beat the experience, or the price. Kids love it, friendly volunteers, special events are a great deal. Worth the drive!
Pretty cool train. Sitting on the side closer to the store has a better scenic view during the tour. Cool stop halfway where you can explore the old trains.
I love trains so I have a slight bias with this review. We did the PSTR'S Complete Line Tour and thought it was awesome. The history was really neat and the stop at the end for kids to explore was also neat as well. Great job!
