Plan ahead. Sites are expensive and they are noisy by the garbage/washrooms. Beach is close and awesome on a hot day.

I've stayed here for the last 3 years, and always paid the extra for an amazing beach front site - however I won't be returning. The park is under new management this year and in their wisdom they decided to grant licence to an ice cream truck which they parked right infront of my spot, it blocked the view I paid for, the truck staff were always swearing (loudly, often and in front of my kids), and the public were always coming in to buy ice creams, standing in front of our view spot, and letting their dogs off leash who would relieve themselves ON our spot. NOT WORTH THE EXTRA $$$. The management refused to move the ruck on and tried to make it better by putting up a barrier to keep people off our site, but it came down that night and did not go back up again the next day. Also despite their brochure saying it has night security in July and August - they do not anymore! They also did not lock the gate at night as they say they do - not once while we were there - when your spot is by the gate, then this is a problem, you have to hide all your belongings at night (barbecue/cooler etc). Don't waste your money, there are other more private sites in Parksville I will be checking out now instead.

Concrete pad rv sites are great. Paved so there's little dust.. location is the best you can imagine.. but there have been cars coming and going at all times of night.. a guy idled his diesel for over an hour one day.. there is no gate also limited parking as not all spots fit tow vehicles.. they need to limit cars to one per site.

Great access to beach and playground. Good size sites. Bathroom upkeep could be better.

We made a reservation and when we arrived someone was in our spot so they put us in an upgraded spot. Great but I said I don't want to have to move again so I want assurance that we had the new spot for the entire time. I was assured we would have the spot and my offer to pay the difference for the new spot was refused. The new spot was great, but during dinner security showed up and said we had to move right now as people with a reservation for our new spot were waiting to check in. We were gracious and moved but learned that a reservation means nothing and their word means nothing. Nice location but too flaky and the cheaper sites are too close to the highway and noisy. Great first night but lousy second night.

Great location! Totally central to amenities and attractions. Right at the beach and next door to the huge community park with a kids playground. There's food trucks and special events in the summer right next door. Make sure you reserve for July and August as its super busy. Sites are serviced and they have showers for a loonie and laundry facilities.

We have stayed here many times. Many years ago we stayed in one of the cabins near the beach, but now we come with our RV. It is so conveniently located at the beach and next door to a fabulous playground / water park for kids of all ages. You can also walk to "downtown" (and Dairy Queen!). The Park is well managed, making it a favorite place for us!

A nice campground at a very nice location right in the beach. The crowd here is quiet and the staff will make sure rowdy campers are dealt with appropriately. The bathrooms are clean but could use some maintenance. Showers are $1 for 5 min. The WiFi speed never comes close to the advertized 5 Mb/s max though.

Have stayed here many times this year and have found everything to be fantastic. The bathroom and shower facilities are always spotless. This is an awesome RV campground for families as the magnificent beach is steps away and is right next door to one of the biggest playgrounds on the Island. It even has a small waterpark for smaller children. Within walking distance are all the shops and restaurants as well as an awesome two 18 hole miniature golf course adventures. The morning and evening boardwalk walks are wonderful to take in the morning sunrise and evening sunsets. It doesn't get any better than this folks. I do a lot of biking and it is an excellent ride from Parksvile to Coombs to Qualicum and back to Parksville. There are so many things to do in the area and the Parks Sands Beach Resort is a great base to see and do it all from.

The good; there's a beautiful beach and walkway a short distance away and if you need to shop it's only a short walk as well.
The bad; militant staff with fires out and no noise from the campers after 11 pm. This is absolutely ridiculous because Parksvilles main street is right there above the campground. So you can't make any noise at all but there's trucks and Harleys and hot rods making a racket right in your face.
    We won't be returning.
