Absolutely the dirtiest hotel i ever checked in to, and working in the oil patch for the last 15 years I've stayed in some pretty bad places. Tub was full of hair, bed was full of hair, human and dog, and a button from someones shirt. Bed skirt was full of stains and some dried up white something( ill let you guess what I think it was), there were blood spots on the sheets, looked like boogers on the night stand. Spent a total of half an hour in the place before checking out and going somewhere else. My coworkers room on the same floor was equally disgusting. Only giving one star because i cant give less. Dont stay on 3rd floor
I stayed here for 5 weeks in a row while I was in town for work, and I have to say that the staff here are awesome. Super friendly, helpful, and very personable. The new gym facility is great, and the complimentary breakfast is delicious. Got to know some of the management, and they are genuinely nice people. I stayed in a one bed room, and it had everything that I needed, including a mini-fridge and microwave. Tractor Jack's, the bar that's attached to the hotel, is a great place to unwind and play some music on a Friday night at their open mic. The hotel is well situated, being right across the street from several big box stores, and well within walking distance from anything you could possibly need. I'd definitely stay here again.
I was invited as a +1 to a social event, my experience was great. Very clean, well kept hotel. Friendly staff. They truly accommodate your every need. Only thing, was the parking lot seemed unorganized (perhaps it was the drivers not parking properly between painted stalls). Also if you parked in the front middle, you have to detour to the far side to get around the poles then back around to get into the lobby, or raise my skirt to jump over them Lol not likely. But that was the difference between a 4 and a 5. :)
Front desk not friendly, broken drawers in room, clock and lamps not plugged in, peeling wall paper, dated decor, stained floors. The pictures on their website are very misleading. The rooms are nowhere near as nice as pictured. for a similar price you could stay in a much nicer hotel in town.
Fabulous brunch. ..breakfast options, lunch options, seafood options and lots of deserts. So much food and well made.no one can possibly leave hungry!
Clean rooms and quiet. Was surprised to find a bed wheel sitting on the end table, thought that was something they'd repair before booking the room again. Will definitely stay again when in town!
Rooms were spacious and all the staff I encountered were amazing. Because it was off the highway it was a little loud bit I imagine it was more due to the timing of the stay and not a regular problem.
Front desk treated my crew and I really rude. They made us feel like we bother them so bad. They talked to us like we were dogs. I'll never come here again. Rooms aren't clean and smell bad. No info given about where rooms are and WiFi. We got told to figure it out ourselves. worse place I've seen in 15 years of out of town work. Please people don't go there.
Location was good. Clean, but the staff were not very present
nice rooms. amazing breakfast at the restaurant. nice beds.
I was there for a monthly safety meeting and the service with breakfast was great. The people cleaning the tables were very punctual too.
I have attended regular meetings at this hotel and am very pleased to see the updates that have been done to a hotel that has served Grande Prairie people in employment and in service for many years. It's so easy to build something new and start fresh but to take an older building and gradually remodel and offer patrons a good value is a difficult task.
The WIFI is awesome (so if you are staying for business) then this is a must and I am told the beds which have been updated are awesome. Many of the floors have been updated from floor to ceiling including new drywall and furnishings. The restaurant has some of the BEST HOME cooked meals you will find on the Alaska Highway.
Great place to stop en route or stay while in town. I strongly recommend to families and business people.
I used to believe this was one of the better hotels to stay at until today. Not only did the staff let someone randomly add their name to my room but then they let the person sign to check me out of the room and collect the cash deposit. Thankfully the young girl working the desk when I returned and found out what had happen was accommodating and assured me the manager would have no prob comping a room. I replaced the deposit thinking I was covered for the room and arranged to meet with the manager in the morning. Once morning came I went to meet Jason and was mortified when he was rude, made derogatory comments and "compensated" me by returning the cash deposited taken earlier and then charging me not only the full charge for the previous night but charging a higher price then I was originally paying. By the time I had comprehended what had actually transpired he had made me feel like I had been the one in the wrong. Needless to say they kept my deposit and attempted to charge addition fees after the fact. I hope anyone planning on staying here doesn't plan on paying in cash in any way shape or form because apparently only prostitutes and dealers pay with cash according to management. So the 65% of the population that don't have credit cards must all be classed in that category right? DISGUSTING CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!
