Beautiful, cozy atmosphere with plenty of seating and wonderful coffee.
When I go, its always a Saturday and quite busy, but theres lots of parking accross the street. I get an almond milk latte, my friend gets an almond milk london fog. They are perfect and smooth every time. Staff are always friendly and cheerful.
My one and only critique is that there's is only 1 or 2 gluten friendly snacks available which is a problem if you want to visit around brunch or lunch time.
Regardless, I love this place. Also has really cool decor on the walls. Would recommend!
If you love a good cup of coffee in a cozy hipster chic establishment this is your place. Try one of their tasty baked goods. They change their selection fairly regularly.
I may not be part of their target audience but here’s what I’ve noticed 1) it feels cult-like with everyone dressed the same and children in linen clothing 2) their food is all kind of bland and all the same colour - no one really goes into Oldhand for their food 3) their staff aren’t really friendly as they look judgey and it wouldn’t hurt for them to smile at everyone 4) the chairs are horrible 5) the music is way too loud you can’t hear people 6) overpriced 7) the people who go there are unfriendly. I’ve been there and tried to sit down at the long table and other people wouldn’t move. My wife left in tears because people wouldn’t make room for her while she had the kids there. 8) I had the cinnamon brioche and it there was so much sugar everywhere it kind of ruined it for us 9) Their menu board is confusing. I’m never sure what food they have. 10) their sandwiches are dry and their croissants are super greasy
I'm giving these guys a better review than duft. With comparable goods and better hours they win. They also have booze if you need to Irish things up.
One of the best coffee spots in the lower mainland. Amazing espresso, and paired with the wheat and dairy free almond cookie, wow! Wish there was one on the North Shore. Also, really sweet and knowledgeable service and the overall vibe of the place is welcoming and comfortable. Oh, and my partner CRAVES the coffee tonic drink, get it with espresso and it is the best thing ever!
Such a comfy little place for a light coffee/lunch break. The staff are always super friendly and really attentive. The menu for cakes, coffees, and more substantial food items is ever expanding and always great. The music in the seating are can often be a little cloistering and just bores into your brain some times, but when your whole shop is a cosy as this, C'est La Vie really.
Such a great little coffee shop. The coffee and sweet baked goods are great. The sandwiches are unbelievable. The chicken and bacon sandwich was one of the best sandwiches of my life. Those are big words.
Nice little coffee shop. They have amazing baked goods and sandwiches. The staff are always friendly. Coffee is always made precise so you have the same taste and flavour each time.
Great service and good coffee. Up-to-date interior design with white painted walls and timber tables. Light and bright feel. Small menu but what we had was good and fresh. The bread roll was large enough for two to share. Locals obviously enjoying it, it was busy and lively. Free wifi here, just ask for the password.
I absolutely love being at Oldhand! The atmosphere and mood are excellent for several occasions. Great for business meetings, hanging out, early morning rises and late night talks.
I visit multiple times per week, and have never been disappointed with their service. Oldhand consistently makes great coffee! They also offer pastries and many other delicious items!
Great local retro chic atmosphere. The place has a sincere and wholesome feel to it. Coffee is great food is made on premises and tastes fresh. Really glad to have this coffee shop in Abbotsford. I recommend their beef cheese and mustard sandwich on housemate bread.
Beautifully decorated coffee shop with friendly staff. Mocha and apple tart were amazing but cappuccino was on the sour side and chocolate croissant was under baked on the bottom. We were the first customers on a Saturday morning, it was nice and quiet before the rush. Will visit again and see if the croissant is baked, since the first few bites were magnificent.
A great place for lunch or just to hang out. The coffee is great, the ham sandwiches are amazing (very European with nice bread; simple, with very good mustard), and you can also order beer. Highly recommend this place for lunch.
Best cappuccino in town and great food to top it. It is a beautiful spot and can get busy at times. Not always a great spot for quite activities ( such as reading or studying), seeing as it can get loud from general conversation and playing children. It has pleasant staff that make your experience with them all the more enjoyable. Highly recommend
My friends and I went to Oldhand to try a variety of things on their menu. We had heard such good things about Oldhand, and everything we had was delicious, so we decided to write a report on the shop for our business project. We called ahead and asked the husband if it was fine to have a little interview, and he told us to come when they were not busy, around 9am. When we got there, we began asking the wife a few questions that we needed to know. This resulted in her getting quite frustrated with us, suggesting that we should have called ahead (which we did). Her answers were very vague and she seemed that she just wanted us gone. Needless to say, I did not end up buying anything that day, and I do not think I will go back. If you want quality food and beverages, Oldhand is the place to go. However, if you value being respected then maybe you should reconsider where you get your coffee from.
