Sushi and small dishes like steak and onions, teriyaki beef etc are great, but the newer dishes like sweet and sour or lemon chicken just taste like the same thing. I got the pad thai once from the all you can eat menu and it tasted like tomato soup on noodles. Still my preferred all you can eat sushi place. Green dragon rolls are amazing.
Consistently good on weeknights. Bubble tea not bad, sushi and curry delicious
It's all you can eat. Food is decent and the staff attentive. Not great sushi but not disappointing. Can usually accommodate a good size group.
Great All-you-can eat sushi place. Customer Service is great and location is satisfactory. No dessert served with the buffet.
The sushi is average at best. The hot foods are 95% noodles or rice. I don't understand why folks in Saskatoon give good reviews to bad restaurants.
when the food is good it's very good. unfortunately sometimes the sushi is unsatisfactory. occasionally the sushi is still warm and the fish is fishy. that's why I no longer go here for sushi. the hot food is always awesome though it ranges in presentation. highly recommend the enoki beef rolls very juicy. also teriyaki beef and teriyaki chicken are very good as well.
Place is small and quiet, not many people in when I was there. Service was good, not amazing but good. Ordered tuna sashimi, it was good but pretty small cuts for the price. Also ordered the chicken stir fry and that was VERY good. Showed up in a hot pan sizzling to perfection! Also comes with a bowl of rice to make it a complete meal. All in all pretty good, would recommend.
Tasty rolls and typically good quality. When I have ate at the restaurant service hasn't been great but the food is good enough I'll keep supporting them.
The food is good, the staff are great, and I can grab some rolls for lunch that are fresh and cheaper than the food court option.
Ordered food to go. And although it came quick and hot, the food was not made with care nor delivered with care. Hot and sour soup was spilling out of the bag and it did not taste good at all. First time ordering from this restuarant so I might try other items on their menu but would not recommend ordering their hot sour soup, especially for delivery.
Very cozy atmosphere, generally not terribly busy, Nisen is probably my favourite choice for sushi. The rolls are made very well and they have many types available for you to try. The all-you-can-eat is where Nisen really shines. For $15 ($22 for supper) you can have as much sushi and Asian food as you desire, plus free pop and bubble tea (latter only at supper). It's a great way to experiment and see what kind of sushi you like. I personally recommend their spicy tuna, yummy yummy, or red dragon. For the value of what you get, especially compared to paying +$6 for one Maki roll, it's an amazing deal that anyone who loves, or wants to try, sushi.
I ordered food delivered and had never tried this restaurant. I was nervous, would I be happy or sad? Oh my, was I ever happy. this food, it nourished me. It lifted a two day funk and brought joy to my day. So fresh, so well crafted for flavour, and not one flavour out of place. I'll be back after I finish the leftovers! So yummy. Thank you Nisen for the lift and the feed!
Great value for the price. Very good food. All you can eat sushi, prepared at the time for you. Best quality/price in town. Highly recommend.
