This Motel is infamous here in Victoria, for street workers(Hookers) and the odd crack head. But hey if that is not enough of a reason for anyone wanting to drop everything and book a room here heed this warning!!!! If you run out of toilette paper or need new bottles of shampoo or conditioner you might risk getting a scolding by the resident caretaker, with comments like you're wiping your asses too much or today's daily phrase you guys are not Hong but trouble!!!! We've literally been guests here now 8 days, with 9 days left, might leave on the 31st of this month depending on whether or not the verbal abuses continue????

Booked last minute here as it was the only place that had rooms open. Victoria is expensive and if you are looking for somewhere to stay on a budget, this place will do for a night. Nothing fancy, but clean enough. We arrived earlier than expected and they were kind enough to check us in early. Walking distance from the harbor area. It was quiet at night.

Stayed one night at the Metro Inn and will not be coming back ever again.

The size of the room was nice. That's about the only thing good about this hotel.

- Room was advertised to have Wi-Fi, but the router was too far to reach
our room.
- There were several insects sharing the room with us. There were also many old insect carcasses under the bed.
- The front door would not lock properly
- Both the bathroom door and the front door needed excessive force to close properly
- Out of the three lights in the bathroom, only one was working
- The refrigerator was filthy; the door was covered in a layer of a dried out, white substance
- There was a very large closet space, but no hangers to hang clothes on
- No desk space or any chairs
- There were some interesting stains found on the bed under a UV blacklight

I would definitely not recommend the Metro Inn to anyone. However, if it is your last resort, I recommend that you pack an electric fly swatter and some bug spray.

We were looking for cheap overnight accommodation without extras. Found it. Yes it's dated, the cupboards and floor coverings are old but the room was spacious, the bed (plus stove and fridge new) and it was clean. The locals friendly.

We booked two nights with this hotel, and had to end up canceling the reservation before we even got there, due to unaccommodating staff. Visiting from another part of the island after work we were unsure that we would arrive in time for the 9pm check-in, so we called to ask if there was any way that someone could stay a little bit longer for us to check in or leave our room unlocked for us. This request was met by a response of "absolutely not", and they told us to cancel our reservation if we couldn't make it for 9 o'clock, without informing us that there was a cancellation fee. As people who are employed in the hospitality industry, specifically in a hotel, we thought that this was very rude, especially since we ended up having to pay a late cancellation fee. Needless to say we are not too happy with the customer service provided, and will not be booking with this Inn again.

This place is under new management which is quite a shame since the previous management was great.

The new lady managing this place may have a mature appearance but her maturity level is far from.

She called me a loser 4 times in about a 2 minute time frame because I was questioning something she was at fault for, she then proceeded to yell at me and give me the middle finger on my way out.

When I asked for the owner's information to complain, she stuck her hand up at me and said am not talking to you, get off my property before I call the cops. ( she doesn't even own the property?! )

This lady may need mental help, and isn't suitable for a management position.

I see this establishment going down hill from here.

I would advise not to book a stay unless you want to be treated awfully.

Looks scary from the outside but the inside is great, especially for the price. $110 (incl. Tax) for a clean double queen room with full kitchen! Where else can you get that? Plus the owner is very sweet and helpful.

Nice and cheap and located right next to Spoons (which is epic for brunch). Just wish it had air conditioning or a fan or something in the room. Very nice people who run it as well.
