  Good Morning everyone;

  It is with great sadness that the Metis Nation region three and our good friend Marlene Lanz has passed suddenly on Saturday.

  Marlene was instrumental in the early development of Metis Calgary Family Services in 1991, and continued her advocacy over the years with the vision that supports Metis families and children for a better future.

  Marlene took pride in the success of Metis Calgary Family Services and the work we have all contributed to, and her dedication and commitment to see us reach our potential was important to her.

  We will remember her in the positive life long hard work she has done for the Metis community in Calgary and the southern Alberta regions. above all the work for the community, Marlenes' family and close friends were the most important in everything she had done, now as she starts her journey to the spirit world, she leaves behind her wonderful husband Len, her daughter Lorelei her son Greg, numerous family members from across the province, but her number one pride & Love has and will always be her two grand children Brett & Jason.

  She will sadly be missed. not only as a leader but as one of my very dear friends.
