Took my 7 month old puppy there to get spayed, I did not get a quote for how much it would have been and was absolutely shocked when I saw the bill. Also I was told after she had already spent the night that nobody watches them even though it is mandatory that they stay over night to be "closely observed" I could have done a better job at home watching her and saved money. Im sure she also didnt have the cone on over night because when i picked her up the incision was really red and oozing. They say that they only do laser spay which costs a lot and is considered "better" which i now dont agree.. but their website says it is an option. The next couple days of "healing" she got a huge fluid filled pocket under her where the incision is, took her back and they gave me nothing for it. Went to Plessis vet (which is now my new vet) to get another opinion and they gave me anti biotics for her, its been a week since then and her "fluid pocket" is finally going away.
Save your money and go to a vet that does scalpel you will save a ton of money that way, and there is no difference. Definitely regret going thereresponse / report this review -

I do not condone this vet, prices are as ridiculous as 700$ for a spay (which they scewed up on btw) if I were you, I'd run cause this place ain't nothing but a money grab.
Plenty of other reasonable, more experienced vets in Winnipeg who won't rip you off and who actually care about their customers satisfactory.response / report this review -

After switching from a cruel vet, McLeod Vet Clinic, including their staff and doctors has restored my faith in vets. Not only are they kind, patient and gentle with my dog, but they truly care about him. Dr. Christie-Leigh Capper has continually gone out of her way to make me, and my dog Kodi, feel special! I can truly put my trust in them to take care of my Kodi with the same amount of love and care that they would put into their own pets. I highly recommend taking your pets here, and even switching here if you currently go to another vet! Not only are they incredible at what they do, but they also have great hours! Thank you to McLeod Vet Clinic!

Love the place, hate why I was there.
I've been taking our pets to see Dr. Newfield and company for years. Today though, we had to say goodbye to my sisters' cat Reddie.

DO NOT BRING YOUR PETS HERE! They will gouge you - charging very high rates (they even charge for the 'privilege' of writing a prescription), and they didn't help my pet - he died (after paying out thousands of dollars) and when I complained I got screamed at by the vet in charge. I now bring my pets to Transcona Veterinary Hospital - WAY better, they are wonderful and charge reasonable rates

Have had a lot of medical issues with our two papillons. All the staff and assistances are super friendly and care for your pets. Would recommend this vet for any one!

My son brought in his dog that was attacked by another dog on Friday evening.
The McLeod Vet team was absolutely amazing. They were friendly and straight forward with all information regarding the injuries and procedures involved with treatment. They also provided a very reasonable quote.
They were understanding and helpful, willing to answer any and all questions he had.
My son never felt rushed (even though it was well past closing to complete treatment).
He could not say enough good things about the staff, they were wonderful, and accommodating no matter what hour it was. Thank you so much!

Friendly and knowledgeable staff and doctors. They really take the time to get to know you and your pet. The follow up calls to see how your pet is doing I'd very sweet.
