I have had experience with other emergency hospitals in the past, but none that I know cares about my pet's wellbeing as much as the people at this hospital. I have been going here for years for my dog and cat's vaccines and unfortunately more recently a couple emergency situations and I still have my cat with me because of the emergency care she received. Thankfully I have pet insurance but I know the costs here are not over the top like some other vets and these guys are Definitely here for pets not just the money. It's unfortunate that people don't have pet insurance or understand that it costs money if your pet gets sick. I just want to say thank you for being there for my pets and caring about them like I do.

One evening our dog was very sick and lethargic. We called first and got advice over the phone, when she wasn't improving after a couple of hours we brought her in. The vet team was great at assessing her and did not have us spend more money than we needed too. Got some medicine and treatment advice as we concluded that we think she got into something at the dog park.
Since then this is my go to place for advice. Every time I have any questions regarding my dogs health they provide great over the phone advice and tell me what to look put for.

Terrible experience. We took our dog in to have his teeth clean and they extracted 9 teeth and charged us an extra thousand dollars without even a phone call. We singed a paper that said they'd call before any additional treatment yet they completely dismissed our wishes and charged us full prices for treatments we didn't ask for.

I've taken many of my pets here, mostly ferrets, but also a dog. I love the staff, they're always very kind and caring. The staff is very knowledgeable about ferrets, which is important when you have an exotic pet. We drove 3 hours each way to see them, since they were so wonderful with our ferrets! Their pricing is fair, and the fact that they're open 24 hours is so great when you have an emergency! Cannot say anything bad about this clinic!

Im rating this veterinary hospital 5 stars because they deserve it. My boyfriend and I lost our beloved Capone (BIG beautiful pure rotti) at this hospital, and even though it was one of the hardest experiences I have ever been threw myself, this group of staff really made us feel cared about at the time. They went above and beyond to take care of us when we were at our lowest point. They even sent us a card in the mail about a week after.

Every single time I have brought a pet there, mainly the girls at the front desk are so friendly and genuinely care about our pets. They are personable and hospitable.

After our dog passed I wasn't sure if I could continue going there after it happened, but I still do, and it's because of the girls at the front desk, honestly.

Had the best price we could find for a urine analysis for the girlfriend's dog. The only downside was we had to wait 2 hours for the results, instead of the 30-40 minutes we we're told. Overall, still good, friendly service.

This is the only vet I've been able to find in Calgary that doesn't let you leave unless they have done at least something to try and help your animal. They never send you home empty handed, wishing you didn't waste $100 bringing your animal to the vet for nothing. They have AMAZING prices of medication and procedures. An emergency, unscheduled visit it the same cost as a scheduled visit as every other vet I've been to. The vets here actually listen to you and care about what you are telling them. My dogs will always come here from now on :)

My big girl got hit by a car. we brought her there, we had an amazing service. They took care of her. We were nervous but they took the time to explain everything to make us feel better. They even call a few days after her surgery to see how she was doing. We had to bring her back couple days after because she's been able to eat some of her stitches with her cone. They again took good care of her. Prices are not exaggerated. My girl is on raw feeding they didn't juge, they just made sure she was getting enough of everything she needs. I recommend them all the way.

I called late on a Friday night after 2 days of my doggy having something going on with her eye. I was greeted by bright and shiny receptionists who were accommodating and glad to help me start things out as I have never been there before. Dr. Gruffyyd was an absolute pleasure to work with - very knowledgeable, informative and helpful when it came to choosing some new meals for my chunky pup. the girls are the front desk really made it an awesome experience and they loved Marley's hugs while getting their work done at the same time. Super happy to have called here and have them get me in the next day at noon. Highly recommended and I hope the less than 5 star reviews give it another shot.

I would like to thank the staff and doctors for giving my ferrets the best care in town I have seen a lot of vets in the city half don't know about ferrets and the other half don't care they just wanted my $$$. Shelby (The ferrets doc ) has saved me several. And I mean Several. Thousands. Of $$$. Over the years of going to Mcknight So keep up the good work staff and doc I will bring. Randy in soon

I would give 6 stars if I could. I brought in a bearded dragon that I rescued from someone that didn't know how to take care of her I had her only 4 days the 4th day her health decreased extremely bad and she couldn't even hold her head up anymore I rushed her into the vet after making a call to make sure someone was there that could help me. as soon as I got there I was rushed into the back room and within seconds I had the reptile specialist there with me looking over Charm . she was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful and she treated me like I was a friend and not just a customer , the vet on call came in as well and she as well was very nice and helped me decide what was best for this poor bearded dragon . we had to put her down after only having her 4 days due to lack of proper food and lighting for her whole life , she was 4years old and the girl that owned her before didn't care for her. the vet and specialist both comforted myself and my 2 kids while we had to make this hard decision . never once were we treated less then a friend . a few days later I got a card in the mail from those 2 girls and it brought tears to my eyes from all the heartfelt and meaningful words. I highly recommend this vet office, they are amazing .

I called the vet hospital yesterday morning to see if I could get an exam appointment for my dog the next day. I was able to get in after work which was so helpful to have the clinic open for appointments late in the evening. When I went it there were two emergencies that had just come in so I had to wait a few extra minutes but that was understandable- just like in your own doctors office emergencies have to come first. I was very impressed by how kind and helpful the staff at the front desk were even when one of the people who came in was quite rude. I got in to see a very caring doctor and I have now found my forever vet clinic. It also helps that the costs were quite reasonable. Thanks McKnight vet hospital!!!

I had to take my dog in for a general checkup and to get his shots. This was the first time having been to this veterinarian office. The front desk staff were very friendly, the prices were super affordable, and the vet was kind and understanding with my dog. She also made sure to take the time to show me each shot as we went, while explaining what it was for and what to look out for in case of a bad reaction. Overall the visit was great, and we had no problems!
