    Good services.
The drivers friendly because if you forget your phone on the bus and tell another driver they may tell you while the bus is going because you don’t want another person to steal your phone. When you pick up the phone it is quick, if you can tell the person at the front desk all the information that they need to know. If it’s phone some one may tell turn full off for you to converse your battery.
But they need to add more service to James Bay because it’s hard to get around there via transit. Also they need to extend bus only lanes on Douglas street throughout the corridor which should be all day to help the bus stay on schedule.
    But overall great service.

Completely unreliable. On a good day I'm lucky if ONE of the four busses I take is on time. More than once a week a bus I'm relying on to get to work either doesn't show up at all, or is so late that I miss my transfer. Why am I paying for a service that I can't rely on at all? Time to get a car this was supposed to be a good alternative to that

If you aren’t standing at the bus stop post they will just leave you there. This happens not only to me if I don’t happen to notice them on time, but I saw them do this to an elderly couple who could not stand up fast enough as the driver sped around the corner. The other day a driver took a corner too fast and an elderly man slid off the seat and hit his head. My grandmother fell on the 70 when the driver hit the breaks too hard. This is a pattern. No care for passengers. It’s an embarrassment to our city. They are so unreliable and never on schedule, and this is mainly because they never roll by stops. Even if no one is there, they should slow down. I can only assume that they try to get through their route so fast so that they can take longer breaks. Victoria deserves better.

It seems like 90% of the drivers just don't care about their jobs. Been literally yelled at by a driver for not waving him down it was a stop only 2 buses go by and I made eye contact as the bus approached, never been asked to wave before let alone been yelled at. Seen bus drivers take off before waiting for elderly people to sit down, and actually saw one fall. Had a bus that was 8 minutes early and even after being that early he still sped the rest of the way. There was a 14 by centennial square waiting for traffic to stop so they could pull out and I knocked on the door and he looked at me and just ignored me. There wasn't even time to pull out yet so he could've let me on. If there's one thing I hate in this city it's bc transit. I'd just go make a formal complaint on the website instead of this review but I have! I've made two! And I was never contacted after my complaints.

April 1st changes for youths and seniors. A one way trip requiring two or more buses goes from $1.50 to $5.00. A two way trip goes from $3.00 to $5.00. My car is going back on the road. Thanks BC Transit.

When rate structure was changed a number of months ago so too was the ability to use transfers. Their use was discontinued. Victoria Transit administration stated that the transfer system was causing too many altercations between the public and drivers. They've been unable to explain why transfers are still used successfully in the greater Vancouver area and why they didn't implement the same on board pass verifying equipment attached to the fare box. Perhaps cash grabs aren't supposed to be questioned.

Normally the bus drivers in victoria are quite friendly and accommodating to everyone. The bus ride I had today was well below the usual average. The bus driver grunted whenever someone said hello, left people waiting for the bus at the right time at the bus stop and kicked someone off for apparently doing nothing. I tried to be polite and stay out of his way but this obviously grumpy guy grabbed my backpack as I was leaving the bus and pulled me back and said "stand behind the line". Next time a BC transit employee touches me I am reporting them right away. The only reason this review doesn't get 1 star is because the other times BC transit has had me aboard they have been friendly and respectful

Absolutely awful service. Never on time, drive by people waiting all the time, leave a stop before everyone has gotten off. I gave the extra star because the drivers are nice.

Probably one of the most disappointing and unreliable transit systems in all of Canada. Sure some of the drivers are really friendly and helpful. The buses are never on time. period. If you are relying on it to get to work you better start looking for another job because you'll be late every single day. If by gods grace the bus isn't late it'll be 10 mins early so you'll miss it anyway. If the bus isn't late and it isn't early then chances are the driver won't be paying attention and drive right pass the stop. I've lived in all but one province in Canada and Victoria takes the cake for worst transit.

The buses are rarely on time. I'v seen them leave as much as 5 minutes before the estimated time or show up as much as 10 minutes late. And sometimes they don't show up at all.
I'v never experienced such an unreliable transit system.

In my experience, the buses are on time maybe 80% of the time. When they're not, the wait can be excruciating. The frequent lines are generally more reliable, but there are always exceptions. Still, compared to other cities of this size, it's pretty good. If they ever get GPS-based real time bus arrival times, I'll raise them to four stars.
