We went here for a work dinner. Nice spot! The interior is nice. It was a week night so quiet but we had excellent service!

We had a few appetizers. We tried the platter which was a nice mix of options. It is great for sharing with 4-6 people.

I had the lamb shank and it was delicious! Moroccan spiced with chickpeas and veggies.

Nice wine selection! Good beer options.

We had dinner and stayed for dancing a couple of weeks ago. I had no idea it was also a full-out night club on the weekends. Very pleasantly surprised. Great music, good bottle service prices. Very friendly (even the bouncers) and safe club unlike any I've been too.

Group of us from work tried this restaurant last Thursday. What a great experience and different from the typical chain restaurants you see everywhere. Good menu, great wine list and droughts. Really enjoyed my smoked duck risotto. I'd recommend.

My wife and I looked for different venues from chain restaurants to banquet halls and they offered the best deal. Given the upscale venue we didn't expect that at all. I threw my my wife's BD party there last week. Really liked the food and the music and dancing. Nice staff and the manager really worked hard to please. Coming back for our anniversary party in Feb.

It was a nice experience overall, but they stopped serving a bread basket for some reason and it was an unpleasant surprise.

Other than that my experience was amazing, our waiter Yuri was great! The food was very delicious. They also have a great pre fix menu for $ 35 per person, 5 courses on the weekdays and Sundays and it's totally worth it. We'll be back !

We searched for nearly a month for a venue for my husband's 35th BD until we came across Marlowe. It was the most beautiful restaurant - had the best prices and choices and to our surprise it had actual DJ and dancing after 10:30. Last week we had our party with 75 people and we loved it. Food was great and the servers were amazing. Took a bit for our desserts but honestly with our number of guests, DJ, dancing and a full restaurant it was understandable and no problem. We'll go back and would recommend. Want to try Wednesday salsa dancing next week :)

I read some of the reviews and some of them made me laugh so I thought I'd write my own. We found this place awesome. Good food, beautiful, management eager to please and really good music and dancing. To find a fun place, safe and friendly to women, food available until late night, and avoid the cost and anxiety of going downtown??? Sign me up.

We hosted my sisters bridal shower brunch here and honestly it was amazing. The restaurant is beautiful and every person couldn't stop raving about the place and the food. It was well worth the price and we were so happy. What really made this an over the top experience for us was Yuri, the head server (we had two servers, the other one, Mark was great too). But honestly, Yuri really wowed me. From
The moment we walked through the door until we left he was sooooo attentive, so quick so smart and it felt like he was everywhere because he knew exactly what was going on and exactly what we needed at all times. My husband works in the hospitality industry and I have very high expectations for what I think is above and beyond service and he really exceeded it. If you are thinking of hosting a private function here I highly recommend Marlowe's and I also highly recommend you request that Yuri be there!

My friend had her bridal shower here and this place makes for one classy shower! (Easily the fanciest shower I've ever been to.) We were served two courses - choice with salad/soup and choice of main course of fish/steak/chicken. There was another party as well going on in the restaurant but we barely noticed them. It says they're closed Sundays but I guess that's for private functions then. Lovely staff and great atmosphere too. Definitely consider them for both a special event and for regular dining (I've come on a weeknight with a friend and the patio was fantastic). Glad to have been here!

    Dear Marlowe Staff:

Thank you so much for accommodating my large group at the very last minute. I called on Thursday, May 4, 2017 to reserve a table for 20 for my best friend's surprise engagement party being held on Saturday, May 6, 2017. Hillary and Britney were great! They were both kind, courteous, and prompt in getting back to me. I speak on behalf of my party when I say, we ALL had an absolutely AMAZING time!!! The food was great and the serving staff (Paulina and Anton), were efficient and kind. Britney is a great manager, very friendly and sweet! She was so busy that night but still took the time to come talk to me a couple of times. Keep up the great work guys! :)

Satisfied and smiling as we left Marlowe! First experience at chic restaurant. Enjoyed wonderful appetizers which included delicious squash soup and a multi-textured, colourful beet salad. Mains were tasty short ribs (learned this is new to the menu) and pizza. Not only were we served great food but we lucked into meeting Alex, the chef and Daniel, the bartender. These gentlemen were personable and impressed us with their enthusiasm as they bring forth their skills at Marlowe. We learned that new specials are being introduced such as half price oyster night on Tuesday. Given all the restaurants in this hub, we were so pleased we wandered into Marlowe. Will be returning to celebrate husband’s upcoming birthday.

Poor experience overall. We visited Marlowe's Restaurant in Richmond Hill on Sat, March 18. We were celebrating my wife's birthday and we had called 3 weeks in advance to make a reservation for 13 guests in total. Although we've specifically asked for a table close to the dance floor, the folks there tried to sit us way in the back of the restaurant. After 10 minutes of discussions with the hostess (and the manager), we were finally offered the table we'd asked for. Everyone in our group was still in a good mood, so we proceeded to order drinks. Half hour later , and a million excuses from the server, we got our drinks. Due to the excessive wait time, My wife decided to open one of the wine bottles she'd received as a gift; only to find out a couple of hours later at bill time that the server actually wanted to charge us the full cost of the bottle, although we didn't buy it from them. Finally, we get to order food; no appetizers- straight to entrees. We were told there is a little delay, because they were busy. That's all understandable, but when the food arrives 1.5 hours laterI don't know what to say. In the end we received the separate bills we've asked for, with the 18% gratuity built in, because we were a large party; all good, until they've tried to bill us twice for certain food items and added gratuity on top of their $20 corking fee. All in all a crappy customer experience. At least the food was delicious and the DJ did a good job with the music. (Hence the 2 stars)

We usually went downtown for events but lately decided to try new places north of the city. We tried a few but really love this place. It's got a beautiful ambiance, good food and a nice wine list. On Friday and Saturday nights it turns into a club. It has really good music and like it all around. My girlfriend wants to try Wednesday nights now when they have salsa lessons and latin dance.

Absolutely terrible. When we first arrived we noticed it was not busy and there were a lot of open seats. We were first seated within a large child's birthday party. When we asked to move, we were then moved onto the dance floor, literally on it. Keep in mind during this time we were looking at all the open tables. Finally as we decided enough was enough and got up to leave, we were then seated at an actual dining booth. Do yourself a favour and read the reviews, some love it and some hate it, if you are considering going here for the first time, I wish you luck.

I've been to Marlowe's several times in the past for dinner as well as for work holiday functions. This year, I had the opportunity to organize my department's holiday party and it turned out to be great--thanks for the great service provided by the staff at Marlowe.

I was quite impressed as I hadn't been to the restaurant in at least 3 years prior to last night. The food was good and we had approximately 53 guests served with a three course meal. Although the chicken was somewhat bland, the steak was moist and pasta was flavourful. The mushroom soup and salads were also hits!

The atmosphere was great. They permitted the use of their projector throughout the evening for our slide show and a DJ was brought in by the restaurant at around 10pm so that our guests could dance. All in all, a great place to host an event. We will definitely consider this for future work events.

Special thanks to the floor and event managers who helped facilitate this event. They were very friendly and provided exceptional service.
