I've been here many times once for a moose game and a few other times for some concerts. It's usually super packed and busy and it's a big place so you could easily get lost but the employees are always very helpful. Food and drinks are kinda expensive though but it still tastes good.
Great downtown arena. Lines can be a bit slow to get past security before events but security staff are professional and efficient. Every year it seems like there is more choice for food and beverage options.
This is a great place to catch a game. The Winnipeg jets are great this year and I love this arena. Plenty of places for food and drinks as well and clean washrooms. There are lots of stalls and if you can go at the correct time the lines are not too bad. If you decide to use them 10 minutes Into an Intermission they tend to get a bit busy. I have also been to many concerts here and the sound is great. For hockey there isn't a bad seat In the building. Even the 300 section gives you a great view of the whole ice. The prices are a bit high but I expect $10 beers at a sporting event. Parking is the only issue and expect to pay $15 in nearby lots for event parking.
My first visit to Bell MTS Place for a Jets game and it was a terrific experience. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Plenty of concessions and the concourses are gorgeous. Tried a Jets Dog which is a huge hot dog topped with perogies which was awesomely messy! Drink prices were typically high for sports event but offered a good variety of beer and mixed drinks. Plenty of sit down restaurants attached to the arena and access to skywalks to other areas of downtown. A smaller arena by NHL standards but seriously not a bad seat in the house. I sat in the very last row in the 300 level and could see everything perfect. Hope to return again one day to see another game! Truth North is top notch!
Renovations are pretty nice, the seats we had were great, all around very good time at the Jets vs Blue Jackets game even though our team seemed low energy and lost. However, $10 for a beer is out of this world.. and the face that you can't leave the building anymore is insane. Money grab money grab money grab! If they're going to trap us in there like hostages they should at least have an outdoor space available for smokers and those wanting to step out for a minute to get some 'fresh air'. I realize that nobody pities a smoker (myself included) but it's pretty ridiculous that they would prohibit people from being able to go outside in general. That's a black stain on the good name of the MTS Centre for sure. And one of the reasons it lost a star. The other star it lost is because of the outrageous cost of food and drink.
Staff is great and always helpful, and they put up with the drunks, usually with a smile ..it has lost a star tho cuz you no longer can leave the premises to smoke or go next door for a drink etc. I'm an ex smokerbut I still think it's a dumb policy. It seems to based on " other provinces have been doing it for a long time". And it will save on heat and AC. SO? Last I checked, we were Manitoba and the most charitable province, and also one of the biggest partying provinces. And at the cost of tickets I think that's a BS excuse. IMO. Peace out.
The renovations are fabulous. The lines to the food are non existantfast and get to the game! Love it
Great facility. Lots of washrooms and concession stands. I always have a good time watching the Winnipeg jets. Beer and food is expensive.
A great cozy arena. No bad seats and all seats feel close to the ice. They are continually investing millions into the building to keep it relevant and a premier destination to watch sports or shows. I can't wait to see the new atrium and concourse renovations which should be finished soon.
All the beer taps were empty, and no signs to tell you. So I had to wait in line for ~15 minutes and all they had were cans. The cans were the same price as a draftso, overpriced. They then had to pour them so you can see how much less you're getting. Friend wanted water and they wouldn't give her the bottle, so she had to chug some in order to fit the rest of the bottle into her canteen. What if she didn't bring her own bottle? You just can't order water? Ice cap machines were also down. Terrible service.
Big stadium with a lot of different activities like hockey games, concerts and other sports. It's located downtown, so it's near everything. I would say it's one of the most important public places in Winnipeg.
Easy to get around to your seat. Good vantage points. Tons of monitors if you have to slip out to the concourse during the event.
Had the honour of watching a game from a suite. Other than the price of drinks being high. It certainly is a pat on the back of the world class facility we have.
I love that they are able to attract a wide variety of concerts and other shows. Most of the time the cost of the seats is reasonable even though they are so small and close together.
Good arena but beer prices are now $10 which is nuts. Great food options though. Try the smoked meat sandwich. Also each floor has a water fountain. They are outside section 317 in the upper bowl.
