Wonderful getaway camping site but only 1.5 hours from city of Vancouver.
From highway to the campsite rusting 10km road.
Nice and clean campsite.
4 toilets
Great during the week. Always at least one group of a**hats on the weekend
So sick of seeing people not take their garbage from the main beach. If you can't help but be a slob please stay away. TAKE YOUR GARBAGE HOME OR DON'T COME TO THE MAIN BEACHES!
This campsite is maintained by BC Hydro so it's free! Take exit 153 from Hwy 1. It is then 9 kms up the FSR. I would suggest an SUV or Truck is your best bet. The sites are large and we were able to get two huge tents on one site. There are three banks of sites. Most sites are very close to the lake. They have picnic tables, fire pits and clean outhouses as well. The lake is very shallow but not too cold in July/August which is nice. There is some trout in the lake but it seems some of the fish aren't surviving so they have a revitalization project to help restock and bring up the numbers. The views are beautiful!
Always my go to camping location. The road in is very difficult if you don't have the proper vehicle.
Great place to camp but please take home what you bring don't be a litterbug
Beautiful campground, people were quiet and respectful. Outhouses well maintained. Road is not really car friendly, I recommend something with 4x4, but I managed to get mine up there! Also, there is no cell service.
