Absolutely awesome from top to bottom. I've always explained what I am trying to do, and if the guy I'm speaking to at the counter thinks another guy knows more than him, he'll call the second guy over. Their tips are never wrong. The downtown store is always busy, though, so try not to take too much of their time.
Regardless, they are great guys with great service. It doesn't hurt that the downtown store is an easy walk from my house.response / report this review -

Having dealt with JB Downtown for years both on my own and with Canadian Tire I have nothing negative to say. They were always helpful beyond expectation. And the PAINT guy Jim goes out of his way to help me, match paint, suggest product for me, and recommend what to use to de-rust my old 73 pickup.

Called looking for brake pads, guy told me all they had in stock were the cheapie pads, he uses them but then he's cheapie, cheapie. Just about fell off my chair laughing! I do all my own work, these guys just get me! True car guys!

Worst customer service I've ever endured. I called looking for a part, as I tried to explain the part I needed the person on the phone said "I don't have time for stories what part?!" I said "well I'm trying to explain it to you". I was looking for an LED light converter for my SUV to attach a trailer. He said the person trying to rent me the trailer should supply it. I said no and that I was really just looking to get the part today and said that I had spoken to another company that knew of the part and were nicer. He said "I can look for your part or I can hang up the phone, I have three lines on hold and I don't have time for this, which is it?" I asked him to look for the part please and asked his name, and he said "nope!" And hung up. I have never dealt with someone so unkind, unprofessional and aggressive in sales in my life.

Awfully arrogant about nothing. Staff won't sell me the paint I want trying to sell me what they think I need. I have been doing auto body for 30 years. Done custom paint for Harley Davidson so I know what I'm doing and what I want. But because it doesn't say that I can do it on there spec sheet they won't sell it to me. If I do it wrong it voids the warranty so what does he care anyways. He is mad that I proved him wrong and being a jerk. I also wanted green pin stripe and they don't have it and will not bring it in for me.
