We use Avalon despite being on the other side of Canada. Phenomenal customer service, great use of tech. Invaluable insights from inclusive support from CPA's. Automating the book keeping process means faster reporting, lower prices, and no longer carrying around receipts!!

My husband and I run a small music business in Victoria, and after an incredibly positive ice-breaker meeting with Joe Collins about 7 weeks ago, our first impression of Avalon Accounting was awesome! Joe followed up after the meeting with a few online forms, which we filled in. We also emailed Joe to let him know that everything was done on our side, and it was over to him. This was about 6 weeks ago, and we still have not heard anything back from him. Also, in our ice-breaker with Joe on May 9th, we said that we desperately needed his help with our tax return before the CRA deadline of June 15th. On June 14th, we ended up doing it all ourselves, with the help of TurboTax's support team (who were amazing!). We can only assume that after looking through our forms and seeing our modest income, Avalon Accounting decided we were of no interest to them. As a result, we highly recommend small businesses go elsewhere for their accounting needs, but if you're a big business, we have no doubt Avalon will look after you amazingly well.

Paul at Avalon provided me with the best personal tax experience I've ever had. Not only was he quick and thorough with responding to any questions I had (and I had a lot), but the tools he provided to calculate things like home-office expenses and side income were both clear and easy to use. Avalon seems like a very forward-thinking company and I can't recommend them enough.

Avalon successfully automated what had previously been a number of onerous processes that distracted our team and now everything is automated and largely paperless. As CEO I now have access to an up to date dashboard of key financial indicators and am immunized from the transactional aspect of the business.
