We did a 4 Hour Cave Tour on Sept 9, 2017.
It was such an amazing caving experience with our knowledgeable guide John! John was absolutely amazing. He showed incredible patience, had lots of stories to tell and provided us with an all-around safe and SUPER FUN experience! I highly recommend him!
Some tips:
* Wear 2 - 3 layers as it gets cooler inside of the cave. You can shed layers if it gets too warm.
* Wear a waterproof, light jacket. You are going to get wet and dirty.
* Bring your own kneepads or rent them there for $6 each. THESE WERE A LIFE SAVER.
* You are going to be crawling through some seriously tight spaces, again, WEAR KNEE PADS!
* Wear clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting dirty.
* If you are going to bring water, I recommend a camel pack or water pack that can hang from your neck that won't be bulky. There is no space for a backpack and you don't want to carry anything in your hands. I didn't bring water but wish I did, a 4 hour long experience is a bit too long for me without water. Some people can handle that though.
* There is NO place to go to the washroom inside of the cave. There is the "bag of shame" that the guide can give you to do your business but you will have to carry it around yourself until you exit the cave.
* There is NO ATM on site, bring cash ahead of time if you need it.
* There is an outhouse on site, no running water washroom.response / report this review -

We did the 1 hour cave experience rather than one of the longer tours. It was fun, and I felt gave us a good flavour of the caves and what caving is about. There are obviously some enclosed spaces, as well as some climbing and scrambling. Wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty and footwear that is sturdy and gives a good grip. We didn't use gloves, but you can buy a pair from the shop for $5 - shame that there aren't rental gloves or that gloves don't just come included like the helmets do. Don't expect too much from the cave slide - it's very slow!

It was a bit of a drive to get to the park but once we were there he staff was very friendly and my husband and I did the 2 hour guided tour and it was great. The guides are very good and although the hike was strenuous the guides were kind and set a pace that all were able to follow. On our tour we had all fitness levels and ages and the guides were able to keep the faster hikers engaged as the others caught up as well as offering tid bits of knowledge. The caves themselves were magnificent and well worth the drive and the hike. My only regret is not doing the longer tour with more caves.

The caves were great. Took the 1hr guided tour which was good. If you are in the area this is a great activity. Didn't know the road was unpaved after you leave the main road. It's about 10km of gravel road. Overall a great experience.

Great place for adventures.
Not recommend for small children.
All is great except the bathroom faculty.
Bathrooms were disgusting.
The caves were amazing.
The lake near the caves was also great.

We did the 1 hour tour. Amazing experience. Tour guide was fantastic. Kids loved it. Well worth the drive.

Fantastic day "out", in quotations considering we were underground for 5 hours! Did the 5-hour tour with rappelling and scrambling and crawling, our tour guide Nick was great, so knowledgeable and passionate about the underground and his job, we learned a lot, there was so much to see! Amazing that all of that is under your feet when you don't even know it. Highly recommended adventure.

Great time caving, Did the 3 hours session. Tour guide was great and was a nice introduction to caving in general. nothing to crazy. Slide was a big disappointment. Would recommend 5 hours if your going to do it.

I always forget how long of a drive it is to arrive to the caves but once you arrive there are great hiking trails & of course the kids just love the caves. All you need is a good pair of sneakers, a phone flashlight and a steady hand to wander in for a peek. Unfortunately they're doing some work on one of the caves so at this time you can't go too far in the bottom one. It's still neat for the 12 & unders. Even the adults that have never been!

Can speak very highly of this tour & the class of employees that work there; we were 30mins delayed getting there meaning the rest of the tour group had to wait for us to commence. They waited for us & the guide Alex brought us on the 3hr wet & wild tour, it was so much fun & Alex is so enthusiastic & knowledgeable, I highly recommend going to do any of the cave tours

Very interesting! Great tour guide. If bringing a camera, bring a smallish one. Wear rubber boots and rainpants. And water proof/ resistant gloves.

Loved this place. Very nice place to be if you have never been inside a cave. I would suggest you take a guided tour, well worth the money.

I give you 5 stars because the employees are trained so well and they know their stuff. Wall tents were cozy and warm and would love to come back a third time!! No disappointments here😊

Really nice park off the beaten path with gravel road access past Horne Lake which is beautiful in itself. The parking lot greets you with an information center where you can get rentals, guided tours, maps and general information. I suggest booking online ahead of time. There are some areas that you MUST be part of a tour to access. The trails aren't terribly steep or technical, the caves are interesting, have some tight squeezes and are generally 8 degrees c inside. Over all a really cook experience!
