Love taco Tuesdays and wing Wednesdays! Some menu items are a little overpriced But they make up for it with awesome service, and the best and biggest selection of both draft and bottled beer I've seen anywhere in the lower mainland!

Will always be my preferred place for chill drinks and food. Great happy hour specials, cocktails are delicious and they have activities like cards against humanity, pool, giant jenga and live music on some nights. Staff is great, go above and beyond what is expected. I asked for a taster of wine once, I was brought 3 just in case. I've never gotten bad service here and never had to wait long for drinks or food.

The sauces with the yam fries are awesome. And the expanded wine list is really nice. Servers are fantastic. Quick friendly service. Music slightly too loud to carry on normal conversation but maybe that's just my age showing

The food was decent pub style fare. I had the prawn tacos and they were good. The Philly sandwich my partner had was tasty too. Would have given this place more stars but they allowed patrons to smoke on the patio at the tables ruining my experience. And to my knowledge is not legal. Haven't had to deal with smoking in a restaurant for 17 or so years and now I remember why the law was such a great idea.

Neighbourhood pub, excellent customer service, fantastic beer selection, and the menu choice of foods is really good!

You get a lot of food, no matter what you order. The prime rib is my favourite.

Nice setup. Lots of beer choices. Wait staff are very easy on the eyes. And no pressure. Just roll in and take your time. Haven't tried any food yet but what I've seen it looks really good.

Good beer selection. Lots of food options on the menu, but most are mediocre. A bit pricey for what you get.

It really is a neighbourhood pub. They have darts and some games. Staff are friendly and they cater to regulars. It's a great place to hang out and not be pressured for anything.

If you love old school tavern type pubs this place is for you, great music, good food, large variety of drinks. Awesome having a pub in the middle of a suburb.

    VERY RUDE
    One sunny afternoon,
My friends and I went to the pub to get something to eat at the pub (Hop & Vine). We've been there before and had parties and other small events. We were never a rude Crowd. However, on Christmas Day my friends and I went over to have a good meal together as we are students and do not have family and play some free pool provided by the pub. The manager rejected to serve us simple because our I.D was not Canadian. The I.Ds we showed government based Ids.(Indian drivers license, Burmese Drivers license, Indian Passport copy) Same ID'S we used when we came many times before and the ID's we use everywhere we go including other pubs and clubs. But was rejected by the same manager to even serve food. He was very rude. Asked us to leave impolitely. I personally found this event a little racist. My Christmas had a disappointing start. We are students and do not have Canadian IDS. It's more disappointing because the same manger served us several times before. Even if he claims policy's that only Canadian ids are allowed. There was no such notice. Absolutely disappointed and a event I'll never be able to forget. Just thought I should share this.

Went here for to celebrate a friend's engagement on a Saturday night and found that the food was decent with large portions however the service was quite slow. Hop & Vine is a neighbourhood pub at the base of Burnaby mountain so you do have the older crowd. The biggest flaw in my opinion was how loud the music is here. When asked if the band could turn down the volume a bit, we were scoffed at. Mind you, it's a pub not a club downtown where you expect that kind of environment. Our group found ourselves really just eating in silence while the live band was playing as it was too loud to maintain any sort of conversation without directly shouting in a persons ears and the music wasn't catchy enough to dance to.

Two stars exclusively goes to the food and drinks here! The experience was most definitely dampened by the loud mediocre music. Definitely a place to go to on a weekday if you're with a group otherwise skip the weekend altogether.
