Bad service. Went in and didn’t get a table until 5 minutes and the guy was just sitting there, waiter was rude and judgmental. Food was okay but gave me a stomach ache and dirrehea for 1.5 days.

I have ordered here previously and have always been very pleased. This last experience was not fantastic. The positives: The portion size was great and the food was hot.
However: The ginger chicken was dry with almost no sauce. The chow mein was the same, bone dry with almost no flavor. The best of the order was the beef with mushrooms which had lots of sauce and flavor.
I will await for some positive reviews before ordering from here again.response / report this review -

Food and service were both very good. Washrooms are dated and used for storage of cleaning supplies. I had to open a box of paper towels myself to dry my hands so that definitely detracted from an otherwise very good experience.

Excellent! We were a group of 4 for dinner. Food was delicious -everything we got was great. They are able to tailor the spice level. Service was great. Wonderful experience!

Used to be excellent! I think the owners have changed and so goes the restaurant. I hope they try harder to replicate the service and food that we had come to expect. Nothing lasts foreever!

Ordered from here was pretty excited to try it for the first time. I got delivery and they said it would take 1hr to 1hr 15 minutes. An hour and 15 minutes go by and I get a call saying it would take another 40 minutes I was pretty dissatisfied I won't try to order from there again

We really enjoyed this restaurant when John and his family were running it. The last few times we visited, the food quality and service has not been the same. After 17 years we now have to find a new Chinese place. Anita where are you?

The reason I went to this restaurant was solely Becuase of the reviews. This place has a higher rating then order Chinese restaurants in Calgary. Unfortunately I was extremely disappointed, the food was almost was if it left over from the day before and just warmed up in the microwave. So I figured that maybe people like this place because of the customer service. The lady that was there would not look in my direction. When it came time for me to pay she would not hand me the interac machineans just pointed to my order on the counter instead of actually handing it to me, it was as if I was diseased. Who knows it wasn't busy and it was lunch time. Most businesses are struggling These days you'd figure that people would go that extra mile. If it wasn't a pick up order my experience could of been different but I'll never know because I will not go back.

Best Chicken Chow Mien in the city, hands down! The chicken balls with red sauce are also wonderful! Would recommend!

My Husband and I absolutely love this place. We all have our favorite Chinese Restaurant, mine mine is back home in Ontario but Hong Kong Garden is equally as great. The food is delicious and the service is always great. My favorite dishes are the S&S pork, stir fry veggies, and the rice is never dry. Other places Ive gotten sick after eating at, this is the only place I don't get food poisoning from. I'm taking my bestie for lunch here!
