So, it’s 2018 I feel like this is the year of Frazer version 2.0. There have been many changes and lots of adapting in our lives over the last few years and we are preparing for a fresh new start in 18’. Those of you who know us, will know we occupied a full time downtown summer location in Wasagaming for 17 years. This year we have decided to adopt a “by appointment” business model without the 7 day a week commitment that came with our previous location. I am definitely not retired! I look forward to serving many of our established clients and new ones this year. Although we will not be in that location, we will be making family memories this year in the Clear Lake area. I want to thank AJ Lewis for allowing us to occupy space at Sporty’s this summer to handle our sessions in which we show our clients their images the day after their photography session in a professional way as we did in past. You will still be able to browse our collection of scenic art pieces at Sporty’s! I am also grateful for the support of the great folks at the Whitehouse Bakery for allowing us to exhibit our scenic art of the Clear Lake area again this year. Finally, they will also be available to view and order at our website. There may be some confusion this year because the old space we occupied for the past 17 years and developed a strong presence has been leased to another photography service, so it may appear that we are out of business, but I assure you we are not. Pssst pass it on! I am excited to see our friends at the lake this summer again. Although we are in Puerto Vallarta, I can't resist making portraits of families! This image shows our good friends of many years, Carlos and Sandra with their kids. We are using this time also to recharge and regenerate fresh ideas for 2018!

Our business is on the move! After 28 years in our wonderful big old house on Lorne Avenue in Brandon, we have decided to sell. We will still be 100% active at our Clear Lake studio as we have over the last many years, and portrait commissions can be booked in Brandon by calling 204-727-8884. The reality is in this day and age, there is much less need for a traditional bricks and mortar studio location. As I have often said to friends, I have a life sentence in this business as a photographer and I will be continuing on, despite our change in location.
Because of the location change, we will be looking for past clients who may want to purchase their old image and negative files from our 28 years in business in Brandon. The charge will be a nominal $25 so if you would like to get these files to preserve your family history in your own archives, or make some more prints, please give me a call.
I have often said, if I had a nickel for every time that a customer loved our house and asked me to let them know when it was for sale, I would have a bigger RRSP! Anyway, the time is now and the house is listed! It is a really special example of the grand old houses built near the turn of the century (1908). They really don't build them like this anymore. I had a great day photographing Danielle and Riley! I grew up in Swan River and our family had adjoining farms with the Jersak family of which Danielle is a member. I have had the pleasure of photographing the Macintyre family over the years also. This is an image hot off the presses near their wedding reception. Very different night than the last one I photographed here.
