Very conveniently located almost right downtown Ft Langley. Right on the river for swimming plus has a outside swimming pool. Walking distance to restaurants, tourist attractions and groceries. Very clean washrooms, the grounds are well kept. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Book ahead if you want to be there on a weekend. They are popular.
Better than most of the private campgrounds.
Negatives: Nice spot but be prepared for the train to wake you up every hour. Showers are pay per minute, laundry is costly better to find one elsewhere. Campground is devoid of trees and privacy is rare. Some spots are better than others. Reserve system is poor as you cannot reserve a single stall but let known where you will be when you get there. Most staff are friendly but some are rude as in the check in lady was really demeaning last time we where there.
Positives: River close by, lots of activities each day for children. Pool is heated, and play park for children is decent. General store is on grounds but some of the prices are too high for market. Travel 5.8 kms to the Save on foods for ICE or essentials.
Conclusion: Great for a weekend getaway, hard to stay long periods.
We love Fort Camping. So much we decided to stay for the entire winter.
There are trails around the campground to walk and bike with the kids and dog.
The Fort Langley town is so nice and only a 10 minute walk away.
The train comes around every hour or so you eventually don’t even notice it and it’s not that bad as some say.
We’ve had a few loud groups (tent area) that stayed over for a weekend or two. But nothing that kept us from sleeping.
Staff is friendly and the laundromat is very clean and works perfectly (no need to dry four times).
We just love the ambiance, nature feel and closeness to littles shops ans restaurants.
Best spot out of Vancouver so far.
We love to stay at Fort Langley to finish off our vacation of touring the province in our 5th wheel. It has so much to offer in the little community, as well as the trails along the river. You can pull in and not need to get back in your vehicle until you leave. Two things which we would like to see improved for next time is, the potholes in the roadway are like canyons, very hard towing a trailer through as well as dangerous if walking in the dark. The other being it would be nice to have the cable a little better quality. Overall it is one of our favourites.
We stayed here recently during the week of the Valley Gran Fondo. Great camp site for families with large lots and easy to move the trailer around and park. The pool was sufficient for the kids and the store supplied what was needed. It is a short walk to Fort Langley which is an awesome town to explore and it is easy access to calm areas of the river for a quick swim and to let the kids play. I would not hesitate to come back to this campsite.
This is a great place to camp. We're spoil all the time. This year we have 60 people total whose joining us for the fun weekend.
Very nice place. Pricey, but the only show in town if you want to camp in this locale. Proximity to river is great.
Nice full hook up camping. Lots of activities for kids and a short walk to Fort Langley shops and restaurants
We did the road trip to from Vancouver to Banff and Jasper and it was the worst camoground.
1. It is expensive (compare to government owned un Banff and Jasper)
2. There is no privacy
3. The are lots of mosquitos (beginning of July).
4. It is clean and mostly families with kids.
I was here in April, 2017 and sure the weather was not great, but with that said, the maintenance department needs to spend some time on cleaning up the sites with gravel, etc. Also, the roads are in desperate need of repair. I also noticed many dangerous trees around the sites which should be taken down or topped. I don't think its good enough to say, oh well its a campsite, you still have to keep it safe for campers. I only stayed here because Eagle Wind RV was full.
We came with a large group with people staying between 2 nights and 2 weeks. The people of Fort Camping were absolutely accommodating. This is a first class facility with first class staff. Although I didn't have my family with me when I stayed, this is the place to stop in the Langley area. Plenty to do and see without leaving Brae Island.
To close to CN rail. Great campsite, well maintained sites, washrooms, pool. Semi friendly front desk. Only problem is the noise. Freight Trains go past every 15-30 minutes and in between is an airplane flying low from the Langley airport. Also heard a chainsaw going all day, too. Beautiful area for a day trip, beaches, history, cute shops (less trains in the day). Too much money for the quality of the noise level, would not stay over night again.
Great place to share with the family. Beach access was nice. Pool was clean and not too busy. Full hook up was a bonus. Laundry and firewood very expensive compared to many other sites. Found the front desk manager lady very abrupt and unprofessional. If you have a customer issue you will not be treated as such.
Spacious place, very green. The receptionists were very accommodating to find us a spot to stay an extra day during a busy weekend. Beautiful island location in the famous Fraser River within short walking distance of the lovely Fort Langley town. Drawback: coin-operated showers which didn't seem too clean, nor did the toilets. I stuck to our little RV bathroom.
We had a wonderful time at Ft Camping and
were happy to have full hook ups there. The sites were spacious and well maintained. It was great walking by the river and being so close to Fort Langley to go and explore the town. The kiddos enjoyed the heated pool so much that they were disappointed it did not open until 12 on the Sunday and would have enjoyed a quick swim while we were packing up to leave. It was also great having the store and the wifi available if we wanted it.
The only negative would be the frequency and loudness of the train. Would go back here again if we are ever back there to visit!
