I came in jan in business coop program and they said, they are full and defer me to march intake. They are full because they allow students to switch programs who came here with different programs. They switched to business program and i suffer because of that and wasted my 4 months and money because of this. They don't have proper rules and students change courses with their wil. I always damn myself why i come to this college. They take too many students and hence make other students suffer. And now this strike happen and i think i will loose another 4 months because of this. Again waste of time and money.
I have heard that part time professors do not even make 7K/year here, you read it right: ~7,000$/year. That is a shame. How can you make a living as a prof or care about teaching when your students make way more than you do?
The college prefers to only hire part time profs so they do not pay them benefits.
You can spend a life time working there and they would still keep you as part time. Ridiculous!!!
People on welfare make more money sitting on their bums.!!! Shame
This is 2017. Good luck if you have issues and need things sorted out. Teacher sent me to guidance on Wednesday. They said they're too busy so we made appointment for Friday morning at 8:30. Showed up Friday morning at 8:20 for the appointment and I waited and again they're too busy I will need to come back Monday at 8:30. Monday morning I showed up so they can sort out my math class but I need to do an evaluation. Ohhh but last day for evaluations was on Friday so we can't do anything for you. Really now. and so now my entire year is wasted. Come back next September she saysare you kidding me ?? Absolute joke.
The first two years of the Business Accounting Program at Fanshawe College were great. If I could do it over again, I would not have enrolled in the post graduate diploma third year of the Business Administration Accounting Program. During the first two years my professors were knowledgeable, organized, and set clear expectations. The professors in the third year were disorganized, and inconsistent. I was told by a professor that they have the lower performing teachers in the last year, so people are less likely to drop out in the first two years. (Hence their KPIs suffer less if you drop out during the post graduate year.)
What a waste of a year the staff does not care about anything other than money. They almost made me pay 750 dollars for continuing my program, instead of switching like I was initially supposed to do. It is purely a money grab. The residence was brutal. Consistent problems, horrible staff once again. The food costed a fortune. Teaching staff was okay, I had profs I loved and ones I hated. Extremely happy I am transferring
Best two years of my life, the Music Industry Arts program!
For a service you pay dearly for I cannot recommend, Due to having issues with several teachers and after bringing it up with staff it only created more problems in the long run. 1 or 2 bad teachers can make a difficult semester nearly impossible

This school is great for someone that wants to gain more technical and hands on knowledge/skills for the most part.
