Time to start thinking about soccer!
Please contact Sarah if this is your dog!
We need YOU! Can you help with our upcoming casino fundraising on January 23rd and 24th (Wed/Thurs)? We just need a couple more people! In particular, we can use help for evening shifts on either day. Or if you are a ‘maybe’ for a shift we can put you as a backup! This is our single largest fundraising event by far, bringing roughly $70,000 into Fairview! This money will be earmarked for additional Flint Park upgrades, community marker sign(s), our movie night, Hazardous Waste Roundup to name just a few! The volunteer jobs are ridiculously easy with lots of downtime to work on other projects, food/drink is included and reasonable travel (cab/Uber/transit) and childcare expenses are covered. We can also help with arranging carpooling. Please message the page or contact Dave (info below) as soon as possible if you can help out or feel free to forward to anyone else you know who might be able to help out. Friends, family and neighbours are welcome!
Nice day at Flavelle Park rink!
Tonight!
Slab demolition has begun at the arena site. Beginning about January 8 and continuing until the beginning of February, contractors will be demolishing the remaining structures, cutting the slab, removing and processing concrete, then backfilling with clean fill and grading. There may be a lot of noise during this process, but it is expected to wrap up in early February.
The Flavelle Park rink is open for use. If you get there before someone with a snowblower, you may have to do your own clearing!
Is this your kitty?
Please continue to stay off the ice on the Flavelle Park rink until it is ready - we’ll let you know! Also, we have had several coyote reports in the area, so please keep an eye out if you have pets.
There is still water under the ice in the Flavelle Park rink, and we are waiting for it to freeze through. Please continue to stay off the ice! Thank you!
Our rink sponsor is Big Rock Water Hauling Service! Without access to a water source at Flavelle Park we need to have water hauled in, and the Big Rock team has made this possible. One of the owners also grew up in Fairview! Thanks so much Big Rock!
Watch any small pets.
We need your help! Volunteers needed to fill casino shifts January 23 & 24 at Deerfoot Casino to help us raise critical funding for Fairview! Jobs are very easy, no experience required and lots of down time. Meal included. Call Dave at 403-454-8327 or dave.eisenbart[at]fairviewcommunity.ca, or message the page, if you can help!

Calgary Herald, June 2, 1971. “Plans for a specially designed interchange to meet the problems of the city's most congested intersection, Macleod Trail at Glenmore Trail, south.”
Love this area and the people. A big thank you to the "Snow Angel" that goes up and down the sidewalk on Farnham Drive with his snow blower after every big dump of snow (and there has been a few this year). You are what makes this community amazing!
