You get what you pay for with a cheap motel it definitely needs some updating but staff is very friendly and helpful and having Denny's right beside is a plus!

Decent hotel, best "budget" hotel I've stayed at. Loved the water, usually it's hard to get clean in city water. Air conditioning worked great, soft bed and pillows, and a clean room.

You get what you pay for and this is a cheap motel in an area called motel village. The rooms could use an update as everything inside shows it's age. The bathtub is about 6 inches higher than you would expect. My room had a hot plate and a mini fridge to make it a Kitchenette. The bed was ok for comfort but the sheets were low quality and a bit itchy. Breakfast is very basic with toast cereal and muffins.
It's close to some restaurants and on hwy 1 close enough to downtown, the rooms have been converted so they open inside the motel rather than into the parking lot (though the door is still there just bolted shut).
If your looking for a cheap place to say the night it will fit your needs.response / report this review -

Stayed in the two bedroom suite for the weekend. The room was larger then expected, with two large separate, private bedrooms. The kitchen was large, equipped with dining table, fridge, stove. The living room featured two sofas(one was a pullout), a coffee table, a desk with chair and a small LCD TV (32" probably). The furniture, including the bedroom and bedroom furniture were very outdated, had visible stains. The entire suite had an unpleasant odor, comparable to a damp towel. The suite was not well cleaned before our stay. The front desk agent was very polite and courteous, providing great service. Our upstairs guest apparently had either a problem with talking inside or outside the bedroom and complained multiple times to the front desk. I don't think talking outside of our suite at 7pm on a Saturday, whilst packing the car warrants a complaint.

The hotel was what I expected. It is in the centre of Calgary, fairly busy area. We chose it for just a night stay in the middle of our trip and i wouldnt stay for any longer. All the essential features in the room, including fridge and microwave. Basic continental breakfast. We stayed in a non-smoking room, but the rest of the hotel had a distinct cigarette smell which was slightly sickening in the hallways. It was exactly what we thought for a reasonable price.

The room and bed were filthy. There was hair all over the pillows as if someone had slept in the bed before we came. The sheets were stained with oil like substance. The floor was filthy with dead flies and food crumbles from previous guests.
It says the hotel is smoke free yet the entire hotel/ motel smelt like an ashtray. We had to leave the window open the entire night to get fresh air.
Terrible dirty place. I will never ever go to this particular location again.
No wonder it's a 2 start hotel. Spend your hard earned money on a more decent place.response / report this review -

Extremely great value. It's clean, near football, university, bars, breakfast and ctrain. Internet is fantastic. Bed is clean and comfortable. Bathroom although dated is wicked clean. Again tremendous value.

My kids phone a dildo in the room drawers. (#107) the manager took a picture but promised to get back to me. I phoned 3times, I still have pictures and videos.

Pleasant, quiet hotel for a great price. Rooms were very clean, especially the bed. The staff there were EXTREMELY helpful and accommodating. There are unsecure entrances, which is a little concerning. The breakfast isn't bacon, eggs, etc., but it does include good coffee, cereal, baked goods, etc. The rooms have everything you need, including good TV and internet.

A lot of hassle to book in store.. ended up booking through Expedia in 3 seconds versus spending half an hour at the counter and not being able to book. Beds were bricks. but good price and simple breakfast in the morning

The room was okay. It looks like it's in the process of being transitioned from an old style motel to a newer concept. The bed was comfy and the room came with a fridge, TV, microwave, and desk.
The biggest problem I had were with the other people staying at the motel as they were up all hours of the night and continued to run through the halls and up and down the stairs.response / report this review
