Staff is friendly and very helpful.
Portion sizes are appropriate and filling.
Food was quite delicious and the gravy is a must add to any meal.
The service was fantastic, and the food was amazing. The pub atmosphere is exceptionally welcoming. I will definitely return for another (and many more) visit(s).
The staff were very warm and welcoming, exactly what you want from a pub. Its an 'older' crowd here so if you're looking for a hot spot, this probably isn't your scene. A nice place to sit at the bar and grab a couple sleeves of your favourite ale.
Where it falls short in a big way is the food. The pub pie of the day that I ordered tasted like it was one of those frozen pies you buy at Loblaws that come in packs of four, although I was informed that they are made in house. It had very little flavour, literally two small chunks of lamb and again, tasted like it had been freezer burnt prior to being cooked. Also, please, please stop serving your meals with those ghastly frozen peas and carrots blend. It can't be that hard to serve your guests some fresh veg! There's no excuse for this. School cafeteria veg on the plate is unacceptable. Again, a great place to drink if you want a quiet pint, we just won't eat here again unfortunately.
Nice atmosphere, almost feels British with the river running beside it. For the price I expected better food, the fries were soft. I expected pub prices but they were slightly higher that your average pub, with food that wasn't any better.
Authentic pub, lots of cool decor and old weapons around the pub. Service was excellent, we started with the onion petals (pictured) which were perfectly fried. We then had the fish&chips which we would highly recommend! Apparently they are known for their fish&chips and I understand why.
I just enjoy going to a "real" place. Food is good, service is good and atmosphere is good. Thanks everyone there at Crow's Nest.
The food was great. I love Bangor as and Mash. Good beer selection. Comfortable environment. Staff was nice and a CV reply for every comment. I love conversation, political or otherwise. Anything that expands the mind or tummy is good.
Awesome food and a truly cozy and unique atmosphere. It's a little tight when the place is packed, but the Crow's Nest has yet to disappoint.
Great atmosphere with tasty pub style food. It's usually busy but it's a great place to eat with a large selection of beer!
A fun little restaurant with plenty of character! The atmosphere is a little dark - like a pub somewhere in the UK - but it's fun if you're looking for something different. As for food - I would say nothing crazy. It's decent food but nothing to write home about. Anyway, I'm more likely to dine here for the novelty experience, location and decor.
